I just realized I never actually really SAW this game. I knew off it, but never saw gameplay. I remember bart vs the space mutants and had it. Man, I know we like to think back fondly on our childhood games in the early 90s with nostalgia, but game design was absolutely atrocious and simply just not fun. Everything was faster than you. most games, you really didnt have a way to defend yourself. In many instances, you got hurt from everything, including fall damage. most games had zero indication of what to do. If it was a comic book game based on popular superheroes, you only had like 2 or 3 opportunities to use special powers. everyone was armed but you. the literal only draw of the game is that you were playing as whatever famous cartoon character you liked. It was weird.

@@WaldoBagelTopper I had this game before I gotten Vs. The Space Mutants as kid. One of the main problem with this game is how backwards the controls are on top of having to do difficult platforming section especially the third area.

Yeah going back to 6-1 is brutal and was an error by the developers, but they decided to leave it in cause they're sadistic lol I really wanted to catch this stream. I played this game on my stream this weekend. For the 1st phase of the last boss, stick to the wall when he approaches, then jump over him and attack.

@@BowlertheRetroGamer To be honest that was my first time even getting to the final boss lol so I didnt have a clue on how the boss fight was going to play out. I thought if you die on your last life during the boss battle then you go back to 6-1 so I wasn't expecting me to go back there before I lost my last life lol.

@@ShadowEddie50 Yeah the last boss of this game is known as one of the hardest ones in NES history. It has more then one phase, the 1st one is cake once you know how to do it. Good job getting to him, I haven't seen a lot of people actually getting here!

Thanks. I grew up with ninja gaiden 2 as a kid and 1 was one of the first games I got when I started collecting NES games again. The series was one of my childhood favorites.

Kind of. There is a regular cheat code to access the level select menu but the developers design the game in a way that if the game crashes or get a error, it would automatically take you to the level select menu instead.

Im probably going to get mario/luigi and zelda along with a couple other titles. I have luigi mansion 2 for the 3ds but I might pick it up later on for the switch if I could find a good deal for it.

Grats! i didn't think you'd beat both chapters in one stream. also the game does have as you saw an 8th chapter. but it also has a 9th chapter that came as free dlc later on chapter 8 doesn't add much to the story really, and chapter 9 is so tough and long i wouldn't recommend it unless you really like the game either way, well done 👍

Awesome job! The only thing is the dragon flute is off a lil bit when it starts. It starts playin a few seconds before he actually starts playin it/puttin it up to his mouth. Other than that its like perfect. Good job!
