Would love to hear a full review of your thoughts on the lift, and what you would do different.

You could bend the bracket instead of your brake line...🙂
@theorionnebula7073 күн бұрын
@@robertfox4524 That should definitely be done too. I was trying to keep everything as close to the frame as I could.

@@robertfox4524 Definitely in the works! I'm getting bigger tires soon and I'll see how the lift holds up to them.

Great Video, Anyone experiencing vibrations while idling at a stop with the vehicle in drive and foot on the brake. When I put it in park the vibration subsides. This started after the install. Thx
@theorionnebula707Ай бұрын
Mine wasn't doing it at first. This has been installed about a year now and I just started having a little rattle, at idle, when it is cold. I'll probably crawl under there and tighten it up. Hopefully that fixes it.
@gofasters1Ай бұрын
I figured out the vibrating was the bolts that go up into the motor mount. They came loose. Those bolts were a nightmare to tighten down because you have no room to turn a wrench and socket won't fit between the brackets and control arm. If they come loose again I'll take the control arm off.
@theorionnebula707Ай бұрын
@@gofasters1 I agree they were. I'll have to hit mine again then. I might throw some loctite in them!

I’ve been driving this lift for about two months and am happy with it. It feels stiffer than stock in a good way. I’m not sure if I had a bad stock shock before, but I have way less body roll on sharp turns . I also used the geo brackets. I decided to pay a shop to do it. I could’ve done it myself and have in the past, I just didn’t feel like dealing with it or running into something and not having the correct tools. Nice vid . It’s always Nice to have these how to videos floating around.

How long did that install take you all told? I'm always impressed in these videos that you get all this work done without needing to use 'bleep' for language constantly, haha. Important time stamp for future generations 31:12

It was a full 12 hours the first day. Then I had to drive around and find a bolt that the kit sent wrong. Then had to find a better impact. It was a full 2 days to get it all done. I even had experience basically doing this to the old Jeep too. Lots of little things to do!

What's the secret to getting that 25mm m10 bolt to go in the engine mount clips? It's refusing to get started on either side for me. It's like it's 5mm short
@theorionnebula7072 ай бұрын
They might have sent the wront size bolt. Mine took a little wiggling, but all the bolts were long enough. I even crawled under there today to have a look and they are plenty long.

@@theorionnebula707 thank you very much! Found the right ones at O'Reilly. Ends up the ones they sent had the wrong thread pitch and were 5mm short

I'd say worth the money. It has some scratches on it and I've heard it take a few bangs. It beats a hole in the oil pan for something so inexpensive! I'm also by no means a "hardcore" off-roader. I trust it to get me though anything and keeping my oil pan intact though.
