The techies that make the big money? Visa holders. Also known as migrant workers! I'm not joking and it's despicable by the tech companies to leverage a workforce with threats of deportation and migrants CANT apply for copyrights or protect intellectual rights. Human trafficking exists on the upper end too. ✌

Excellent presentation! I moved to San Jose in 1974 with a population under 1 million in the county. By early 2000s that doubled. What was a rich lush fertile farm valley with well paying jobs for everyone became a dystopia nightmare of pay disparity and overcrowded schools while mental health care and poverty became criminalized. Thank you Reagan administration. Scooby-Doo and the gang were absolutely right about their reveals.... Land Developers are the culprits.

Driving past homeless tents and seeing mental health become a for profit human trafficking racket from law enforcement to the pharmaceutical industry and private behavioral health unit scams. I'm not mentally compromised or homeless but that state scares the shit out of me. 👀

There is no Grant neighborhood in Mountain View. The Grant Road area is split between Martens-Carmelita and Cuesta Park neighborhoods.

making the salary from the big tech in the bay area is equivalent to a medium sized company in a medium or low cost of living area with much more comfort. No idea why people would want to move to california.

Not exactly sure what you mean by equivalent, sure you can get a similar type of house with a smaller salary in a lower cost of living area, but California for many of us offers a lot more than those places, that being said if having a big house is important for people, California isn’t probably the best value for your money

Makes sense that’s one way to do it - there are so many neighborhoods in SF (some I definitely missed) and there are many ways to go about explaining, but mainly decided to go to affordability for a real estate perspective, thanks for the feedback though!

Almost every intersections. Always fun watching them speed along 101 and cut across 2-3 lanes to take the off ramps. And since the offramps have red lights usually Cochrane/Dunne/Tennant they blow through those. Merging onto 101? 75% never signal. And the obviously well off parents clogging up the inadequate roads picking up/dropping off the kiddos miles away from their houses.@@LifeSFBayArea

Are you serious? I just looked at Fremont downtown development plan this morning, and many many apartment buildings will be build in this downtown in the next few years. If you buy a condo here, there is 0 chance that you can rent it out in the future.
