Ours is stuck in auto stick
@flywelder Жыл бұрын
Hi, if you're referring to auto shift, which I will consider meaning stuck in 'D'. Then I predict you would have to follow my instructions, and you may need to go under the vehicle, find the shift linkage, and discover where it is perhaps binding. The linkage that is activated release a 'stop' built into the shift linkage, usually including use of an electric solenoid. Or the shift cable is binding somewhere on the transmission body. I wish I could say for certain where, and what the problem is, was. I don't think it should be a difficult repair once the trouble is located. I wish you much success! if I think of another solution, I will post it to you.
@liandrakreil7726 Жыл бұрын
How difficult is it to remove in the future?
@flywelder Жыл бұрын
if you're referring to the 'metal' extension tube/shower arm, I would have no concerns, Because, once the extension tube/pipe /shower arm, is loosened, it will break free from the grip of the spray foam as well. {The pipe that the 'shower head' attaches to, is called a shower arm. It can also be referred to as an extension arm, extension pipe, or shower elbow, as it forms a 90-degree angle to reach the shower head} The foam will remain inside the wall cavity as the tube/pipe/shower arm is removed from the wall. And in the foam a tunnel will have formed into which a new tube/pipe /shower arm, can be inserted into, and will allow the shower arm to thread into the 'wall pipe' that is located behind the drywall/sheet rock'. Now, if you're wanting to replace the dry wall around the extension tube/shower arm, then the foam will come out with the drywall sections. A person will mostly have to 'cut it free' from the extension tube/pipe/ shower arm, using a serrated knife would be best or any cutting instrument, but a knife of some type would be best over scissors. I hope I have answered your question and have helped.

The foam could possibly be used to reinforce the wall or keep it from collapsing 'horizontally' somewhat. but it would not be suitable for a 'load bearing' wall though.

What if the white is down and the screw is out
@flywelder Жыл бұрын
mmm ? if you are referring to the white part that travels up and down inside the shifter's handle, then you may have a cable or spring 'hanging up', it is caught on something inside its protective sleeve, try spraying some muti-purpose lubricant {not WD40} into the opening where the white plastic part travels up and down. You may need to get under the car or remove the plastic cover beneath the shifter handle, yes that large piece of plastic shrouding, and then you can see the solenoid and switch that the cable attaches to and see if that is caught up on anything. or maybe the cable and area beneath the white thing, needs some lubricant. so, give the cable and any cable 'joints' /pivot areas you spot, a 'quick' spray of muti-purpose lubricant. Remember to shake the can well prior to spraying the contents! try and spray the lubricate into the 'tube' the cable travels through., Don't waste the lubricant on the outside of the cable's sheathing., because lubricating the 'sheathing' will be of no benefit. it may be that the spring that lifts the little white part up, has broken? if so, that is a different scenario, and more involved than we can discuss here. The problem could be something else entirely. I wish I could say for certain what the solution is but that is impossible over the internet, would have to be right there physically, and that is impossible. As for the screws, my suggestion would be to go to a hardware store, like Ace or True value, because the selection of small screws will be much better, than at a big box store. remember they need to be metric thread screws! I believe I posted a picture of the screws below in answer to someone else, hope that and this info helps you! and good luck on this repair, keeps us updated.

I want to know the name of they little yellow part that helps to do the shift. I need to order one
@flywelder2 жыл бұрын
Hello, I don't know the actual name or the part number for that particular piece, it is just a linkage part, and plunges up and down, so maybe using the word s, plunger, transmission selector parts, plastic shift linkage when you call or visit a KIA dealership's 'parts counter'. Also describe where the part is located. They can look up diagrams on their computers and then tell you the actual name. Depending on the dealership and parts manager, they may even do all that for you over the phone. That is how I would actually go about finding the part. I wish I could be more specific and actually tell you the name and part number, but I don't have a service manual for the vehicle to refer to. I wish you luck in your quest!

Hi, No I have not experienced any troubles at all. I was not expecting any improvements because I had no issues before the fluid change. Currently the transmission is shifting properly and operating like it did when was new. keep in mind, that when you drain some fluid out, some old fluid remans inside tranny, this can't be helped and That will be a benefit to you.

Please query online -" Rafael Suarez, et. al. v. Nissan North America, Inc." Unfortunately You Tube will not allow me to post the link. This is a class action lawsuit which when it's eventually settled will result in many headlamps from 2013-2018 Nissan Altima's being replaced at no charge. It doesn't matter if you didn't respond by the deadline as stated in the lawsuit as it's still in its infancy and you still can be included to initiate a claim if eligible. You'll know once it's officially settled when the Nissan corporate website known as "Nissan Assist" will list it as a current active campaign. Keep in mind. you may still be able to replace your headlamps at your expense now and potentially be reimbursed later.

Yes, After visiting my Local Nissan dealer, to have my car's headlights evaluated for this recall, I left with the impression that even if you did not sign up for the recall, and wished you had, there is still a good chance yo can take part in this free repair! Simply take your car to a Nissan dealer, to have a headlight inspection performed, this could be beneficial, and the dealership them selves will sign you up to get the free headlights!, plus the evaluation may not cost you a dime. Worth a try!
@honestone4902 жыл бұрын
@@flywelder Absolutely that's how the class action lawsuits work. Nissan Assist makes it official once posted there. If you have difficulty seeing get your headlights fixed NOW and don't risk an accident. if you own one of the cars listed in the case the chances are excellent you will be reimbursed. The cutoff dates mean nothing they just needed enough signatures to file the suit.

Will this fix the tiller being slightly hard to turn and it not being smooth at all?
@flywelder3 жыл бұрын
Hi, if you mean, "the twisting action of the control", that is on the tiller arm, then yes it will help greatly. Also, look under the engine cover and look where the tiller arm connects inside there, you will probably see two small gears attached to the tiller arm. These should be oiled and lightly greased, this will help also. Hope this helps you. If you mean turning the entire motor left and right to steer, then no this will not help that. For that, you need to locate the 'two grease fittings' on the shaft of the motor, near where the motor attaches to the stern of the boat, and give them each several pumps of grease from a grease gun.
