I picked England because there is more to come from them as a team. I didn’t say it was going to be an easy win, I believe it will be close, but I feel England will win in extra time. It also appears that there is going to be a shift in how England are going to play against Switzerland and perhaps that is us growing in to the tournament. Portugal played poorly for the entirety of the 2016 tournament and won it. Thats what tournament football is. You think Ronaldo will pull through because he cried? Well, Ronaldo isn’t Portugal. At least not anymore, and he has known it’s his last tournament from the beginning.. so where were his goals? He ranks highest for shots off target in the portugal team, highest for shots on target, second highest for shots blocked.. some might argue that is wasteful. Yes, his off the ball play is still exceptional and that definitely adds something to a teams performance. Who knows, Portugal could beat France, I said that in the video, but I also believe France are set for a big match and will have fresher legs. I also believe the pace up front will be an issue for Portugal. Especially if Pepe plays. He was dead on his feet in that Slovenia match and almost cost them dearly. A better finisher would have put that chance away. If you’re saying that Turkey will play like having home support and therefore they will beat Netherlands, why haven’t you picked Germany to beat Spain? They literally have home support? Yes Turkey can be dangerous in knockout football and they have proved that in the few tournaments they have actually qualified for, but Netherlands looked very dangerous in their last match (yes Romania weren’t at the top of their game, but the scoreline could have been 4 or 5-0) whereas Austria dominated possession and chance creation and could have equalised in the dying minutes had it not been for the wonder save (and what a beautiful save that was 🤩). Thinking that Turkey dominated Austria because they won 2-1 is like thinking England dominated Slovakia because they won 2-1. A lot of research goes in to these videos, whether that be in game stats, player positional analytics, relevant recent head to heads, you name it, then I make a prediction based on who comes out on top from those stats. But that’s also why I get some wrong sometimes, because at the end of the day, this is football. And more specifically, tournament football. And stats and analytics can go out the window as soon as as game starts. Either way, thanks for watching. I love it when people give their opinions, that’s what football is all about.

There is no doubt it will be a tough game against the Swiss. They have some top class players, and they are very organised. I believe it will be a scrappy game, especially if England line up as they did in the last 4 matches. However, from recent reports there is a chance that the England set up will be different for the QF. Moments of brilliance do come from star players, you’re right. And that can be the difference.
