Been looking at buying this so thanks for providing a comprehensive and easy to understand review

I have now owned this guitar for 18 months and still smile every time I pick it up. I own several other Taylors, a Breedlove and a Maton, and played many other brands; there is no question that this particular guitar sounds quite different to the rest....almost piano-like...and is a dream to play and hear. I am clearly a fan of the 'Taylor sound', and somehow this K14 CE is a cut above the rest. This review captures the uniqueness of this guitar quite well, and contributed by my purchase decision. Someone commented about used guitar values....this is a keeper so it is a moot point! I would wholeheartedly recommend trying out the K14ce BE if you are in the market for something special.

Really surprised by the smooth sound… fingerpicking. An understated guitar, despite the laminated back. Thanks for another great review.

Nice natural sound, shame about the pickups, which really isn’t pleasurable listening. Thanks for another great review. 😊

First again! Great review. Sounded too harsh for me, not horrid, but there are plenty of guitars the deliver similar or better

How would this stack up say vs the new yamaha red labels for the same price? Honestly, my csf3 just gets better with age, id perfer to spend the same money for a high end yamaha vs a mid range martin. What do you think ?

Great and accurate review. Rathbone reminds me somewhat of Adam Black guitars. That same sort of in-house brand that does a lot of things well but never quite ticks all the boxes? The preamp on this R3ECE should never have left the factory. It was dire sounding on my monitors. I definitely would not pay rrp for this guitar but I have seen them discounted now to £399 in some stores.

From u.k. I have an ADMIRA entry level classical. Owned it for 15 years, sometimes left for a few weeks, some strings still in tune. Wouldn’t swap it for a higher level, feel attached to it.

I own a nice new one, however upgrade the bridge pins as it takes a chisel to remove the flat ones to change strings. Secure solid the jack connection, not ez to get inside, get a luthier. And put single strap-lock on the neck joint like Greg Lake uses and I like a D'Addario Acoustic CinchFit to go on the body, fits nicely around the input jack. Finally, heavily lubricate that dry fingerboard which once sat in a warehouse for a year or two. Great value and sound but make these changes.

Hello, I have not understood whether your microphone used for singing, was plugged into the Mic input of the Sienna or not ? (or is it plugged in another system) 😊

Hi, thanks for your review, demonstration 👍 What strings are you using in this vid, are they new, and how did you find the intonation to be further up the fretboard? Thanks.

My new favorite acoustic combo! My review: "I've been a singer-songwriter and particular-about-equipment guitarist for a few decades [Taylor, Trace Elliot, EV, etc]. While I appreciate other acoustic combo amps, this Godin ASG-8 is well designed and made! The 8" woofer can get as low as an acoustic guitarist needs [and then some] while the 1" tweeter, especially with the resonance effect dialed in a bit, produces very pleasant harmonics and sonic sparkle! There are enough tweaking knobs to dial in just the right amount of EQ. The unit feels sturdy and is terrificly small, and after my first 2-hour gig, feels cool to the touch [amp and power board not working too hard]. It seems other manufacturers have a skosh more power for the advertised watts consumed versus output dB levels, however this amp has a pleasing and refined sound [I've used other manufacturers acoustic combos which sound louder, but more brash in comparison]. I was concerned by the lack of an output graphic EQ [eg: 7-band on my Trace Elliot], however, between the parametric EQ knobs plus the resonance effect, no graphic EQ is needed. One area of concern is the 'effects loop' which seems to alter the output EQ when engaged, and makes the output signal sound low- to mid-chunky. Weird. [Obviously not 'True Bypass'] This is not a problem for the Reverb effect, but seems a problem for the dedicated 'Echo, Chorus, etc' effect/knob [of which I don't use, so all good with me here]. Compared to all other combo amps I've used and sampled, this is my new favorite as it's a good all-rounder with very well thought-out design elements, lightweight, seemingly tough, and terrific sound and utility!"

I own a freshman...all beautiful light spruce wood ..it is an outstanding guitar .. getting better sounding with age.. sustain is amazing..these guitars will stand up easily to high-end Gibson Taylor Martin.

Got mine today in blue. The sound is solid, not as strong and clear as I like it, but good enough. So happy to hold a guitar in my hands again since I moved.

Mid to late 90's is the sweet spot for Taylor IMO. The ES system is terrible, period

Very nice. Epiphone is putting out some great guitars. Let's just hope Gibson doesn't drop the Epiphone line as what Martin did with the Sigmas. I own a post Martin Sigma. A very good instrument and many of them are in the price range of a Mexican made Martin. Great guitar for what it's worth.

Outstanding review! I have an "Inspired by Gibson" Hummingbird that looks and sounds beautiful! I can't believe how good it is, even if the price was considerably more than I paid for it. Epiphone is really raising the game with their Inspired by Gibson guitars.

If you want to hear this guitar being played just watch Doyle Dykes. He plays one of these on most of his Sunday String along for the last six months or so.

It’s all subjective, I disagree with most of this review. I have both a Taylor 814ce and a Martin HD28VE, my brother recently bought the 324ce and brought it over, I played my two and his through a Fender SFX amp and preferred the 324ce over my 2 more expensive guitars. As far as looks I think it looks very elegant and classy. It had better low end than my two. I will buying one.

Sounds nice on here .The main thing that would stop me even considering it are those silly shaped tiny buttons .They look fiddly and are too close together , that warm button?.I want positive controls not ones that seem to lack any thought as to use. Did you find that?Nice honest dependable review as always Ben, thank you.

Very weak guitar with no bass compared to a real J45. I returned it to guitar center. Play the Gibson J45 there. Yep it's not even in the same league not even the same type of guitar.
@jazzgtrwannabe84152 ай бұрын
The reviewer makes a comment at one point about the guitar's low end being a little weak and needing to use a thumb pick to bring out the bass notes and also that you need to dig in to get a decent sound from the guitar. Since I mostly fingerpick without a thumb pick perhaps this will not be the best choice for me.
