i did not know two of my favorite bands played together

When the Mondays were on it they were one of the best live bands around - none of their records managed to document just how great they were back then as well as the Call the Cops live video did.

I love the Mondays and have been listening to them loads recently and realise that what they were made out to be and what they were are two different things. They had loads of different influences and ended up part of a scene. They remind me of bands like Madness and the Sex Pistols. They had an image around their necks but we're actually brilliant and innovative outliers who clearly loved music.

Not to be petty, but it’s insane that Anton can sing way better than Courtney 20 odd years down the line.

Muddy fields? This is the Mondays, mate. Free Trade Hall, G-Mex, after parties at the Hac, etc. The crusties were in Hulme.

I was at this gig! That’s me yelling “Love each other!” It might not seem like it, but it was a really fun event! The Doll Hut had, like 50¢ beers and everyone was waay drunk! Me: “Will they make it to the next gig?”

i was not referring to THIS show -- I was referring the show I saw in May 22 -- before he apparently relapsed == i met him and talked for a bit.... He wasn't drunk at all. there were no crowed heckling. He wore a shirt -- he had his shit r together. and it was obvious to me. Or he did a great job of faking it. . I don't know what he's like offtstage in real life -- who knows what anyone is REALLY like. when the doors are closed and camera turned off -- ...but he was kind to me, and played a fantastic set and no one cared that he only played two older songs. JMHO thanks! Your comments have been very helpful to understanding Anton -- if that's possible
