If democracies are expected to produce good governments,then is it not fair to expect that they would also produce development? Evidence shows that in practice many democracies did not fulfil this expectation. If you consider all democracies and all dictatorship for the fifty years between 1950 and 2000, dictatorships have slightly higher rate of economic growth. The inability of democracy to achieve higher economic development worries us. But this alone cannot be reason to reject democracy. As you have already studied in economics, economic development depends on several factors: country's population size, global situation, cooperation from other countries, economic priorities adopted by the country,etc.

भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था के परिवहन क्षेत्र में महासागरीय मार्गों की महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका है। भारत में भार के अनुसार लगभग ९५ प्रतिशत तथा मूल्य के अनुसार ७० प्रतिशत विदेशी व्यापार महासागरीय मार्गों द्वारा होता है?) अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय व्यापार के साथ इन मार्गों का उपयोग देश की मुख्य भूमि तथा द्वीपों के बीच परिवहन के लिए होता है। स्थलीय जलमार्गों का प्रयोग प्राचीन काल से ही किया जाता है। रेलमार्गों के निर्माण के पहले अन्त स्थलीय जलमार्ग यातायात के प्रमुख साधन थे?) परन्तु रेलमार्गों के निर्माण से इनका महत्व कम हो गया।जल में चलने वाली नौकाएं धीमी गति रेलों के सामने अधिक समय तक टीक न सकीं।फिर भी जलमार्ग भारी और कम मूल्य के वस्तुओं दोनों के लिए बहुत ही उपयुक्त है। अतः हमारे देश में आन्तरिक जलमार्गों के विकास की ओर पुनः ध्यान दिया जा रहा है।❤❤❤❤❤)

Coal, Oil and natural gas are chiefly used to provide electricity and to power vehicles. We need to take advantage of the solar, wind, wave, tidal and thermal energy, which are abundant in nature and free, renewable and sustainable?) These resources can provide more than enough green electricity and can then power all the industries, homes and transports that we need.)
