It would be much better without the bizarre music, just ambient sounds.

Beautiful islands (our daughter is named Iona). And there is no such thing as bad weather- just bad clothing choices 😏

Whoa, bit overly dramatic on the music there. It rained rained and more rained on my journey over Mull / Iona too.

At the western end of the Forth & Clyde Canal on the River Clyde, where the canal joins the river. It's 11 miles west of Glasgow City Centre.

How long does it take to get there I live in a small town called Arbroath on the north east coast of Scotland
@dwmillican6 жыл бұрын
It took us 5.5 hours by ferry from Oban and then two full days cycling (plus two other ferries of 40 minutes and 1 hour respectively).

It was brilliant, although the Midges were terrible the following day (Episode 6)!
@duncanyoung44326 жыл бұрын
Can you take a train from Arbroath to there
@dwmillican6 жыл бұрын
Not directly. You would either take a train to Oban then cycle up the islands and take several ferries (as we did), or a train to Kyle of Lochalsh (via Inverness) then cycle across Skye and another ferry.

The winning act of a "Talent" show at my church. This lot were by far the silliest of all, which is probably why they won!

looks like a great ride , did you wild camp ? or are there plenty of b&b's to stay in ?
@dwmillican7 жыл бұрын
We stayed in independent hostels while in the Hebrides. The quality of the hostels/bunkhouses was somewhat variable, but fine for one night each.
@DavidCulshawmer-r7 жыл бұрын
thanks Donald ;) , I was going to take my tent but it does look a tad barren of any shelter from the elements , owt's better than nowt as they say ;)
@dwmillican7 жыл бұрын
Indeed. We encountered some fine weather, but also horizontal driving rain with a near-gale force wind. That said we met someone who did wild camp the whole way, so it is possible :)
@DavidCulshawmer-r7 жыл бұрын
that's what I was thinking of haha , how did you get back to oban , did you use the cycle taxi that I've read about ? , it supposedly takes you back to the start and the ferry home
@dwmillican7 жыл бұрын
We didn't go back to Oban as we all live in Glasgow, so we caught a train back from Inverness. We did use the Bike Bus from Ullapool to Inverness which was an experience! The driver did a steady 60mph the whole way and we were quite surprised our bikes were still on the open trailer when we got to Inverness :)
