The audio version of this podcast was too hard to follow because you were all distracted by the game.

Youre right! This kind of content does work a lot better in video form.

Brought up panellists volumes for weeks, saying how some people are way to quiet, playing a game is soooo much worse, the game itself is louder than some people. LOVE the idea of playing a game during the podcast, but make it quieter or boost peoples volumes, Mike is like the only one whom felt like his voice was louder than the game at all times. Jill is audible until the music or fx boom so missed a bit Jenny and Janet I barely got a word from either.

There were some audio hitches for sure, but I think we got them figured out if we ever try this approach again!

The Gamepass situation's kinda weird. Because im constantly excited for games coming to gamepass, but I often get wrapped up in other indies until something I'm truly amped for drops, like Dungeons of Hinterberg this week! But then i have months of playing 3-4 games. So, really, my dollar's worth fluctuates throughout the year, so I still get my value from gamepass. But the kick to $20 a month might be a hard sell for ultimate. Might just drop to PC Gamepass moving forward. But great episode! Keep it up team! Also jenny, don’t be so shy next time 😂😂

I downloaded Little Kitty, Big City, Crow Country and Animal Well on the same day thinking Animal Well was going to pull me in the most but I ended up nearly 100%'ing the other two games first; got all achievements in Little Kitty and everything but the S-Rank reward in Crow Country. Another wild year for games and indies especially.

This Prince of Persia thing is so fascinating to me! Because at first glance my thought was never "Ew! Prince of Persia's here?" but "YO! An Indie Team is Making a Game with a AAA IP!" Other examples like Cadence of Hyrule or the League of Legends indies (RIP Riot Forge) always seemed so cool because now a team who at one point did a smaller project, NOW gets to make a new project with some big brand recognition. Janet mentioned the "You're too successful to sit with us" analogy. So like If a studio opens their Kickstarter, and INSERT UNNAMED BILLIONAIRE HERE decides to donate a million dollars, does that take away from their indie-hood because they have so much money? And yeah, now we gotta talk funding, publishing, ownership of the company etc. etc. But it's such a fascinating topic. I figured the Triple I Initiative would spark this conversation about WHAT iii really means, and I'm glad it did! Great show, guys! Keep being our honorable Council! That's why I voted for ya! 😂😂

Seems like a no brainer, but I don't see enough frankness coming from games media + podcasts. Which is why I greatly appreciate the sentiments towards the Playdate as "Hey, this thing is clever, but a must-have it is not." Love having all four of you together and can't wait til next time :)
@DEIVION2124 ай бұрын
1:08:00 Playdate and VR are genuinely what we spend most of our time playing these days. This gen has been very bleh, the PS5 and XSX are both peaks and valleys this gen, you'll either get a bunch of things all at once or absolutely nothing for an age. So Playdate stuff and VR have definitely been mostly what we play on a daily basis. The Playdate is let's be real the perfect toilet device, cause phones are sucking the damn life out of people, scrolling the void of garbage that is the net is doing so much damage. But the Playdate is a nice lil pick up and play system. Definitely want a redesign so it's got a backlight and it's more comfortable, but all in all, love the damn thing.
