I heard Sir? your remark, about "You are surprised there is so much INTEREST IN motor rewinding procedures and processes!!! It is becuase, the writers of text books , have so poorly , taught the bulk of the public, exactly the electrical phenomenon, going on ? In the motor? and in the text books! By actual ,CHANCE, I happened to find a electrical cirquit flow demonstator machine, to illustrate electrical current induction into a coil?? and the direction of the polarity of electrical flow? with the meter, with a sensitivity precise enough to actuall show. to the layman? the reversal of flow? and polarity! It suddenly was there!!! in front of my eyes! Becuase the phenomenon is not along the lines of common sense?? as it is explained in text books! hense the reason for Laboratory work? in institutions of higher learning to assist the student to witness the subject , in action! I also have yet another phenomenon to confront you with! In the Bible, in ancient times; the Bible teaches, that certain serious sinners were ordered by the GOD of the Bible : to be stoned to death, by the community of believers! WHY? Because the Lord told us "thou shalt PUT AWAY EVIL, FROM AMONG YOU!" IN THE BOOK ENTITLED "HIGH MINDS" SUB TITLED THE " VICTORIANS AND THE BIRTH OF MODERN BRITAIN " AUTHOR MR. SIMON HEFFER; ISBN NO. 9780099558477 ON PAGE NUMBER 5, SUBTITLED DR. ARNOLD OF RUGBY; QUOTE MANY SCHOOLS WERE DENS OF BUGGERY, AND BULLYING WITH YOUTHS OUT OF CONTROL! " I FELT "a hah!" FINALLY THE TRUTH OFTHE MATTER, ABOUT WHAT WENT ON! AND AUTHOR MR. SIMON HEFFER, GOES ON TO EXPLAIN , HOW A NUMBER OF HOMOSEXUAL PERVERTS WENT ON TO BECOME CLERGYMEN, RAISED TO THAT POSITION AUTOMATCALLY , BY THE SYSTEM, BECAUSE IT WAS NOT KNOWN THAT THEY WERE PRACTICING HOMOSEXUALS IN A NUMBER OF CASES? NOT ALL OF COURSE! I HAD WONDERED? BACK YEARS AGO? HOW SO BEUTIFUL A CHURCH, AS THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND? COULD BE SO, HORRIBLY WRONG ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY BEING ALLEGEDLY ACCEPTABLE TO A HOLY GOD AS HE IS REVEALED IN THE BIBLE! WELL NOW, MR HEFFER REVEALED WHAT WAS GOING ON BACK IN THE DAY! SO THERE ARE TWO POINTS OF INTEREST SOLVED! AS A MATTER OF FACT, ONE DAY MOSES WENT INTO THE TENT OF AUDIENCE TO SPEAK TO THE LORD GOD? AND THE LORD SAID TO MOSES, THAT HE WANTED TO KILL EVERY JEW HE SAVED FROM EGYPT! AND MOSES THREW HIMSELF FACE DOWN BEFORE GOD? BEGGING HIM TO CHANGE HIS MIND! IT IS AMAZING THAT ANY OF US? STILL LIVE? WE ARE ALL SO FULL OF EVIL! AND SINNERS! Very sincerely , [email protected] montreal Quebec Canada May 2024

I’m just a guy that is fascinated by motor rewinding and wanted to learn how it’s done and give it a try on a small motor to see if I could do it. Your video was terrific and gave me even more desire to try it. Does anyone know of a beginner rewinding video that gives step by step instruction in English ? This was a great overview of a professional shop, but I need more details as a newbie. Super video and thank you!

I’m an offshore elektromechanic. I work for a large offshore and dredging company on a 150m long hopper dredger. We have had a few sent for rewinding. My boss is a 68y old Croatian guy with 50y behind his belt. He started out in a company that builds cabinets, rewinds motors and transfo’s etc. I also sidehustle in a similar company, its beautiful to see the motors when they are freshly done. I hope to learn it myself over time from these oldtimers that work there. Some of them have been doing that for 30-40y now. Its a trade in its own, an art even. Great video! I love it

@FletcherMoorland average of 25 seconds to fit one side of coil. Each tool is designed for the core thats been rewound and 3d printed. Have tested it up to 2.4 mm wire.

This brought back some memories as a youngster wanting to rewind a Lucas dynamo from an old motorcycle. I visited the local rewind shop asking for enameled wire, insulating paper and varnish. The owner was a bit surprised having a young dude interested to tackle this kind of job. Anyway he asked if i would be interested in a job as rewinder? I was still studying electronics so politely refused. Thanks for showing the whole proces. Back in the days we didn't had youtube. Reading books was the way to learn.

There are videos on YT of this very process being carried out in workshops in Pakistan. No personal safety equipment whatsoever for the workers...dust and dirt everywhere...the floor the ceilings workbenches its everywhere. No hi tech balancing ..analysis ...fault finding etc equipment to speak of. Open fires in the middle of the work area to burn off any old insulation and presumably to cook on at the same time. In fact it would be safe to assume that they defecate right next to their work area....Amazing

do the economics actually justify the rebuild? are they that expensive?
@FletcherMoorland
@FletcherMoorland 8 ай бұрын
They certainly do, plus there is also the sustainability side of repairing and reusing something already built instead of manufacturing new. In this case the rewind and refurbishment was around 40% of the cost of new.

17:27 You have NO idea how important it is to look after a shaft that size without protection because you don't know who's going to be touching it, how big the hole is, who's going to lube up that big shaft so it can EASILY slide in the hole, how clean is the hole, who looks after the hole, how often is the hole cleaned, how proud is the owner of the hole, has the hole always been looked after, has the hole ever been tarnished or gotten really dirty so it had to be thoroughly cleaned so no one would no how dirty it used to be and is there ANYTHING that the hole could do to damage the shaft?

Thanks for that video, I left the motor rewind trade 40 years ago having had a 5 year apprenticeship and then 6 years as a skilled winder. Most things haven't changed much although we wouldn't have done the initial tests, well we didn't have the equipment to do them, also dread to think of the damage we did to the lampack heating up with gas torches to strip the old windings, also no VPI back for us back in the 70s and early 80s varnishing was just running the varnish over either end and through the core before into the oven overnight. Great video and certainly brough back a good few memories, can almost smell the varnishes and the odour of burnt out windings on a motor in for repair. Happy to have done it for 11 years, equally happy that I changed to a career that let me retire before I was 60. Thanks for posting.
