Unpopular opinion: Monoblos is just a cooler Diablos I never liked fighting Diablos. I've been playing since Freedom 2, and in every game Diablos has been one of the more annoying or boring fights. Him having no element means he needs to rely on actual attacks, but the attacks suck if his main way of attacking is two horns. It limits the moveset, he has no arms to speak of so there's not much they can do to make him a fun fight, and his boring beige design with just two horns slapped on like two oversized decorations never really enticed me. He's supposed to be menacing, but the headshape simply doesn't work well with those massive horns in my opinion. Monoblos works just fine, it feel smore streamlined and I by far prefer that one. That being said, his moveset would be the exact same as Diablos anyway due to the same general idea behind it, so that wouldn't change much about the fight anyway. I also dislike the idea of fighting one monster with one big horn only for the game to go "but guess what, this one is stronger and has TWO horns". It's silly. Same reason the Zenith monster designs in the Frontier series always looked stupid to me. Just slap on some spikes and horns and there you go, stronger monster. The worst offense are things like Zenith White Fatalis, who not only get spikes on their body but said spikes are also mono-coloured and don't go with the design, and the lack of texture makes them look like plastic. Really wish I knew where I was going with all this. Anyway, cool video!
