I fall asleep to a white noise machine. My friend used to have a different model of one at their house and when I would sleep over there you could tell it was a machine that plays a recording with a noticeable loop break in it vs the machine itself producing the noise that stays constant. Once you notice the loop break you can’t unhear it and my brain would slowly start to almost turn all the subtle repeating noise discrepancies it into a song like it’s trying to fill in the blanks. Sometimes it would even almost sound like a repeating voice or something. It was hard to fall asleep to but this album actually reminds me of that, except this is actually pleasant because it’s deliberate and not just my brain playing tricks on me while trying to fall asleep

Any reason why the first time a sample plays, it plays in its entierety without issues, then it switches to a shorter loop (i assume, the actual circle groove) with noise? Never had a locked groove record in my hands so it's probably very obvious to anybody who owns such a record.
