What’s with the toothpicks? To differentiate other stuffing ingredients?

Thank you for the video, question, if you were to use it a few times a month how often would you break it all down and clean it like you are here?
@BBQatHolmes8 күн бұрын
Great question. It really depends on how you cook. If you more low and slow I’ve switched sides and smoked the other way. If it’s more hot and fast and spread out charcoal I clean it more often. I try to leave a foil pan underneath while smoking to help with the grease.

The thing I always want to know in these videos is: How do I clean it? Doesn't seem to have an ash sweeper/catcher like a Weber kettle. So in review videos I always look for that info!

It looks like you have to be a bit of a contortionist to get up under there. They are sending me a new one because the fan doesn't come on when I set the temp, but it does come on when I disconnected it from the wireing harness and plugged straight to the controller.

It definitely required a little bending. It’s too tall to lay down and too awkward to kneel down. I ended up using my phone camera to see it (and record the video too.)

That seems like major issue to me, compared to the many pellet smokers that have had well functioning wifi apps for years. I like to do overnight cooks on my Green Mountain. It will keep the temps steady, adjust temps on a schedule, and even back temps off to just keep my Q warm if it happens to finish sooner than expected and I'm asleep or away from the house.
