Nothing wrong with Azreal. He has poor range but his damage and pressure when he is on top of you is insane. (not an expert) I'm pretty sure he was considered weaker in Cross Tag because its a game where people valued controlling the Screen more than damage/pressure. Azrael doesn't really excel in neutral so he was considered weaker. In CF I believe he was a Better character tho, since he did not have to compete with Persona/Under Night character's normals as those characters have humongous attacks. I'm pretty sure Adachi is one of the best characters in the game.

I think the ai may have Input reading? Also the game has a ton of mechanics that players may not be utilizing to the fullest where the ai is. I know they mess me up pretty bad as well.
