Thanks for this. I want (would be my first action cam) one for photography. Cant find as to yet any real samples on the net to pixel peep. I dont need it to be like a FF mirrorless. But if it was like my 1 inch sensor dji classic mavic drone I would buy immediately as that is great for stills. How would you say the image quality is compared to your phone (to make prints with)? I want to have it on me via neck strap etc.. and snap at things I see via wrist bluetooth remote. Cool you showing how the phone can remote control it! Well done. That would work well for framing up with folk thinking you not taking photo when looking at phone.

Think this video Mike has really made me think about selling my Fuji X100vi that I’m rarely using and picking up a new GoPro because it gives so many different opportunities that I prefer to have over image quality of my Fuji. I own the Hero 6 but that failed a while back…

Could you please tell me how can I turn on my standard photo mode?
@babyboy197111 күн бұрын
I’m about to buy an action 5, would you recommend it for photos as well? PS: When shooting video on action cam like Action 4 or 5, these settings will eliminate jitters: 4K 30, EIS at Rocksteady (not +), Shutter 1/100-1/8000 (this is very important, you can also quadruple your frame rate to 30FPS at 1/120, 60 at 1/240, etc.,) Also make sure ISO is high, at least 1600-3200. Jitters will disappear with 1/120 and 3200 ISO in low light!

Can you do a street photography video of the DJI Osmo Action 5 now? That thing has 40 megapixels!
@mikeosbourne14 күн бұрын
Hey did one yesterday! Out now. I love the 5
@kevinlovett847715 күн бұрын
got the same camera, also wanted it mainly for photos. now, the camera has some delay, maybe it's just slow fingers, but with that bus passing by, could one also take a video clip and then take a screenshot from said clip? i am very happy with my action 5, but a burst mode would've been great
@mikeosbourne14 күн бұрын
Yea you’re right, that is one downside to it. It reacts very slow. But other than that I really like the action 5
@babyboy197115 күн бұрын
Yes!!!! I’ve been waiting for you to try the action 5 for photography! How do you like it? I hope you do more vids and night shots.
@mikeosbourne14 күн бұрын
It’s my favourite action camera right now! Night vids in the way!
@babyboy197111 күн бұрын
@@mikeosbournenice!!! Hope to see lots more photos and videos from you with the Action 5! Btw, here are the magic anti jitter settings on the action 5: 4K 30, EIS at Rocksteady (not +), Shutter 1/100-1/8000 (this is very important, you can also quadruple your frame rate to 30FPS at 1/120, 60 at 1/240, etc.,) Texture at -2, Noise Reduction at -1 or -2. In night mode, you can’t adjust ISO. In normal, all these settings apply but make sure ISO is 100-25000. I would make FOV standard but you could use wide. Color is dealers choice, normal or DLOG 10 bit (which you’ll obviously have to grade o in post or in the mimo app). Cool that A5 pro lets you preview the color correction. Hope that helps. I got all these from @fishycomics and @TravelingAhn on KZbin. Out of box the action 5 seems aggressively sharp and bright, especially In super night mode. And without these dialed in (especially high iso and 1/120 shutter or higher) micro jitters are bad. Hopefully firmware will address some of this but with these settings dialed in, footage (especially in low light) looks very promising. No jitter at all with these, even when walking!

I think superphoto and hdr pay off in difficult lighting conditions. You would definitely notice a difference between the modes. Sunrise/set for example. And you would definitely need a tripod for this as it takes multiple exposures to create the final result. So moving subjects would be out. Though it would be interesting to see moving traffic using superphoto and hdr. Im pretty remote where I live so I’d probably be waiting all night for a vehicle 😂. Overall they were all pretty cool. Superphoto explained by GoPro- It works by quickly capturing multiple images back-to-back using different exposure settings, then intelligently combines them into a single image. Looking forward to the DJI results. It’s a shame GoPro doesn’t employ horizon levelling in stills mode. Appreciate the video 👍🏻

Can you just clear up he muddyness question - the images you show in the main are muddy in appearance is this because you have put your own interpretation on the images using lightroom/photoshop? - the images of St Pauls in Raw straight out of camera seem vibrant with normal colours. Keep Well!

7 minutes into the video and the two shots you put on screen, although great compositions they look really muddy compared to the colour from the video ? ...........hi again. After hearing that you were told you could not use a tripod I checked the LPA. I`m sure you now know this but for those who do not. It is slightly true and in some instances a license is needed but not really for a guy with camera and tripod. Most of the land around Tower Bridge is owned by boroughs Tower Hamlets and Southwark and the need for a license is for professionals and film crews. Although I could not find much about the general public using a tripod it does seem that stopping someone doing so was/is very petty. I am sure other can add to this.............
@mikeosbourneАй бұрын
@@2010going they deemed using a tripod as professional…. It’s a grey area but I guess they own the land
