Thanks for this. I’m gay and it’s hard for me to be in touch with my feminine side because growing up I was taught in Texas that real men aren’t emotional. I believe this result is because evolutionarily we males were the violent ones who were responsible for killing wild animals and brining home food. During which activity, showing emotion, even for a momentary pause in a hunt could spell disaster for the tribe, everyone could perish due to lack of food or the pack could be physically harmed or injured badly.
