I have been under attack by the enemy recently. He has used a personal crisis to attack me with depression, anxiety, and grief to provoke me into despair. The first time was a month ago. I had recently received absolution through the Sacrament of Confession, and returned to mass after about four years away. After the next massI requested the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. I returned home to my apartment, and as a friend had since said to me, “Well, the Enemy was NOT happy about THAT!” I was overwhelmed, drank a bottle of red wine, but a friend called me and became concerned. He called the police and when they got to me I was sitting on a ladder in the garage with some twine.😢 That won me an all expense paid trip to the psych ward for five days. The second time was today. All day I have been fighting rising feelings of depression, anxiety, grief, and panic. It got almost as bad as the day I tried to kill myself. I grabbed my rosary and started to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries, and almost immediately the attack ended. I am exhausted, but alive, and didn’t fall into despair. Thank you Holy Mother!❤
