In all the seasons, tommy fought against every enemy to make a home for his family. In the end of sixth season, he gave his family a home and future by taking away the last fear stopping their enemies from co-operating to make it a safe place,himself. tommy shelby never was afraid of death, i think he died with the first girl he loved and he stayed behind to protect his family.
