Bro I have a question if you can tell me your opinion about this.... So is it worth to tix bent rims? Is it really possible? I really want to fix my car's 3 bent rims but my brother is telling me its better to buy brand new ones. If its possible to fix them and worth it, I will do it because new ones are crazy expensive and my Rims are like GTR rims.. unfortunately they are bent and cause steering wheel vibration and I can't drive car 100KM. Or even 80km/h will appreciate your feedback 🤝

@@travelheaven6593 If the rim has a small bent spot and can be straightened without heating the shit out of it like this guy then it's possible. But if you have 3 bent rims, I'd replace them with some forged wheels, especially if you are running at higher speeds. Don't risk your life dude. Medical bills are way more than a set of wheels, if you make it. Plus if you take the time and really get it close to the eye, it will probably not balance very well either. Just my experience, I've tried it on my Chevelle and just wasted my time.

Looks like someone needs to brush up on their metallurgy. I can almost guarantee he didn’t anneal that wheel, most wheels are made from 6061 or 6058 which has an annealing temperature of 775F (the melting point is 1100F). That wouldn’t even be a full anneal either, a full anneal takes multiple hours in an oven at 775. Plus 6xxx series aluminum tends to work harden very easily, so even if he did get it insanely hot, just the process of working it with the press may have stabilized it. Aluminum is relatively soft no matter what, and heating with a torch isn’t going to make much, if any, difference in “future bendability” so I wouldn’t worry about this repair too much. Everything I just said goes out the window for steel though, way different material.

It depends on where you come from. In some countries it's not legal to repair bended rims. Ask your local car painters or body shops if they knew someone. I found someone in my neighborhood in Germany who does this professional.
