I love this record. It’s one I think has transcended hardcore and metalcore. People who aren’t into heavy music can appreciate it. Super solid and heaven in her arms is in my opinion, the best song they’ve ever done.

Thank you so much for this informative and well structured video! It wasn’t just a bunch of names thrown around but supported with a lot of context instead! The reason I became interested in this genre is because I am a huge Sleep Token fan and their song Vore really stood out to me. From what I have heard this fits the description of blackgaze pretty well and the song has been described as such! i will check out the playlist and hopefully end up with some more amazing music to listen to although the satanic elements are making me uncomfortable tbh (I am aware that this is art and not meant to be taken literally for the most part at least)

Just found your channel, Cheers from Southern California 🇺🇸 I appreciate your approach to sharing information... This (new tag) for bands i like.. as other modern genre tags have also, are annoying, unnecessary to be polite, especially with people who remember these Bands etc.. And Like them... Seen Dillinger plenty of times.. opening for CONVERGE, Locust, Das Oath, .. later Headline with bands like Breather Resist, Bleeding Kansas, Theses arm's are Snakes, Wolves, Transitor Transitor, .. My two cents on the floor,, The Music is all that matters... Maybe i just Hate (math) hahaha

"Ok Calm down bro, it's just a girl" (7:53) NO ITS NOT JUST THAT!!! This man probably has never been through a relationship that bear so much. The lyrics is soooo much of the album even though it is not even said in the album. Thing about COnverge is they are an EXTREMELY emotional band. J Bannon even said in an interview that one problem that he has but that he uses to his advantage is that he writes songs that are VERY personal to him.

So I'm just now realizing how a lot of what I said in this video is super similar to what Schafrilla's Productions said in his video. Now, I wasn't intentionally copying him, the opinions are ones I genuinely did have, but I definitely should have done more to differentiate my video from his, and I apologize for not doing so. Go see his video. It's a lot better than mine. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJXdaoB8eNSSgq8

I feel you missed a big point. Chascore existed as a precursor to mathcore before mathcore became a term. Coalesce and Botch were considered Chaoscore, Dillinger was the band that turned it into mathcore. Chaoscore also started with a band called Deadguy, who is massively important to the birth of mathcore, as it would likely not exist without them. I would definitely recommend looking into them. As for Chaoscore, you won't find anything more than traces of the subgenre as it was back then in forums scattered across the internet, but if you talk to anyone who was involved with the scene back then they'd probably be able to tell you all about it :P

Let me just give you a quick rundown of how I even know of this band. A few days ago I woke up to YT autoplaying a Trent Rezer interview about his influences. He said the name of this band and said his music isnt really like this(gladly agree). So I checked it out hoping it was something new. I have never heard such childish jibber shit in my life. It sounds like if some kid found a mic, an old metal fan, a AC unit and a tried to out angst an emo kid from 2011. Speaking of kids, WHY THE FUCK DOES THE ALBUM COVER HAVE CHILD PRON ON IT? Utterly useless shit. I cant believe this is called one of the first industrial bands. Anyone who is into this is literally the biggest trend chasing assclown in the immediate area.
