viel zu groß und zu viel Menschen auf einem Stück eingepfercht, da habe ich es in SAL in einem kleineren Hotel lieber so wie im Hilten auch 5 Sterne und überschaubarer. War dort erst sep 23.

Beautiful train depot. The ticket booths that are roped off are 😊 exquisite. There is a restroom at the end of that part of the bldg that is gorgeous. Marble sinks, tile floors. It has been closed for at least 30 years but it is immaculate. The whole depot is like you are walking back into the 30s. Btw am from LA...

LA Union Station sure has changed since the 1960's. I grew up taking trains out of the LA Union Station back in the 1960's. The glorious luster that Union Station had back in the 1950's and 60's has certainly worn off. Today Union Station resembles more of a commuter rail/bus station or a shopping mall. Back in the 60's before Amtrak, LA Union Station served only long distance rail travelers with long distance trains being run by the glamorous Union Pacific, Southern Pacific and Santa Fe. No Amtrak back then or Metro Link. Of course there were numerous long distance trains to choose from in those days as opposed to the four or five that depart LA Union Station daily today. Everyone taking a train back in the 50's and 60's dressed up for travelling as opposed to today when the station mostly caters to commuter and bus travelers. Half of Union Station is closed off today and the gates which allowed only boarding passengers access to the long passageway leading to trains has been dismantled. Also all of the lockers are gone which long distance train travelers found handy. The wonderful coffee shop/restaurant has also apparently been closed. Was surprised to see so many homeless drug addicts occupying the station today, something that we did not see around Union Station back in the 60's.

Hi Steve! Thanks for the video 😊my favourite thing about being away is being in the sea! The water seems quite far from the hotel, and I sometimes prefer something more intimate, I’m guessing this isn’t the hotel for me? 🙈

We went there in october 2022 and it was the best place we have visited period just prior to going we read some of the reviews on trip advisor and nearly got cold feet to anyone who as booked this hotel trust me you won't be disappointed it's soooooo good we're going back this october again , that's after a honeymoon in cancun at the riu palace las americas can't wait to compare
