Lets stay on this hard to get subject: in the beginning you talked about paying attention to body language and facial expressions. If the denial is met with body language and facial expressions, then I hope any person would interpret that as a no. But if the body language doesn’t fit, then, playing hard to get is real. Even the Christian book Wild at Heart describes women wanting to be pursued. The book Evolutionary Psychology also touches on the subject.

I like the question about playing hard to get or flirting. I think it’s important to talk about Hollywood and “preemptive programming”. For me, this subject is way more than conversation. We need to discuss how humans learn (meaning sensory input) and what we have consumed to understand our subconscious and how that psychology plays out: meaning, free will is sometimes not free will.

I worked for The Life Center 2 years ago which is the only Sex Ed program accepted in WTX (fun fact- anyone can apply to be that organization). And consent is still not being taught.

Consent really became “humanized”, I would use, after so many scandals like Bill Cosby, R Kelly, Jefferey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein, and many more over the last 7-10 years. Consent, for me, is a mutual understanding of the actions taking place and the awareness of the consequences of those actions. If I am not fully aware of the consequences, how can I fully consent?? Would yall care to answer that?

Brene Brown popularized being vulnerable with her famous Ted Talk. And being vulnerable has now almost been weaponized. Id really like to know what material you guys suggest for people to become aware of how to “tune in”, “allow space”, and “be vulnerable” with each other.

2 minutes and I really hope you guys talk about narcissism with the topic of consent. Which is NEVER talked about in our home, let alone to young men and women in the permian basin. There are MANY false stories (smear campaigns) circling in THIS community about men/women who have interacted with full blown covert and overt narcissists that are gathering “flying monkeys” to ruin the reputation of that individual. And many times, the gender of that person behind smear campaigns is largely women and are immediately given power to these false claims. ONLY because they are females.
