Chris, If you're having back problems after long periods of standing, you might want to give Skechers "arch fit" shoes a try. A friend of mine suggested them to me, what a revelation. I rarely wear any other footwear now.

I see many people saying they prefer composting toilets for the simplicity but where do you get rid of the compost? Maybe the boat that picks up the pump out could take the 'bags' (compostable bags) of compost with him also.

Hi Chris not a boater (yet) but my son is with his girlfriend. (Pillings Lock Marina) I absolutely love love love your videos brother and this one hits a lot of nails very firmly on the head. I actually started watching your “boat build” ones and subscribed then but for some reason the algorithm has thrown this one in and I’m really glad it did albeit a few months late! I firmly believe the CC’s need representatives on these forums and frankly I can’t think of anyone better than yourself. I’ve heard lots of stories from people at my son’s marina criticising CRT still and the consensus (even from them) is very definitely “not value for money”. CC ers are getting shafted. Someone may have said this already, I haven’t read all the comments… But…. To stop the filters from smelling, could you have a recirculation feed from the clean water tank that feeds direct into the first filter, then going through the full system again before returning back into the tank? Then you could have water flow everyday through the filters which would stop water going stagnant. Just a thought..

Im well in to pension era, and i could not afford any rental, id not want rental. I bought the first narrowboat I viewed, but i had a background in sailing. Even then, technology was a big shock.

I wonder if you can put up tall plexiglass panels on one side to keep people shore side off the boat, and you come & go on a small canoe on water side or something?
