I’m an artist and I keep seeing people use undertone logic in a way that blocks people. I don’t think because one is more harmonious on you that the other color suits you less. I agree it’s more nude on you, because your lips are pinker, which is what it means to have a cool undertone. I’m Filipina and light tan with olive undertone. I’ve been told by makeup artists that I am supposed to wear orange peachy tones. Or that I’m best suited for orchid mauve tones. They’re both true because green is yellow and blue. There is yellow in orange, there is blue in purple. What really matters is if you’re trying to group colors by harmony (similarity or finding a medium between tones) or compliment with contrast (complimentary tones or tones that highlight difference). My foundation can even determine if a lipstick I own is flattering or not to me or starker than intended dependent on tone and shade average. I’m happy the girls are learning color theory! But I think I really want to dive in on a painters perspective, especially one that color mixes herself to make portraits.

Omg me too!!! I'm so so so cool toned-pretty much zero warmth. Mauve and rose lipsticks are my go tos. Everything else pulls orange on me 😂 I don't mind bc it matches my auburn hair.

Sorry I love this color on you specifically I think you’re just self conscious in it because the color is so uncommon. I think it’s super flattering. Maybe with specific complexion products? I think leaning in and doing a cool tone bronzer and lilac bush could be very cool and spacey.
