You know what it is to repair or what, that's why I don't have to look for videos of organs because these crazy people come out breaking something that can be repaired.

I own several vintage USA made Fender basses, some of which are quite heavy. One of my old Jazz Basses weighs over 12 pounds. I went into a guitar store, here in Nashville, a couple of years ago, and play a Mustang. I absolutely loved it. Right off the rack it played and sounded great!! No dead notes on the G string from the 3rd to 6th fret; a big issue with most long scale basses. Anyway, I bought one. I recently used it on a major artist gig, and on a record date. It’s great not having all that weight on my shoulder. It is now my main go-to bass. PS: Never have issues with the 3 position switch.

Turn up your amp! It’s hard to tell the difference in sound without hearing the amp. It’s like the basses weren’t plugged in at all.

Love it!! Great job. The worship team sounds great. I also like how clean the stage is. I also play bass at my church. We have wires and stands everywhere. We are working on hiding some of it. Keep on sharing your talent, and bringing God the glory. 😎🎸

Hey, did you get the amp fixed up? I'm about to sort mine out. It's an early version with 6AQ5A tubes. I'm pretty sure the capacitors need replacing, maybe some other components, and I might try another speaker in it. These are great amps for guitar and I'll buy another when (if) one shows up in the UK.

I came here wanting to love this video. I left, well, disappointed. "Lady shits on bass" without letting us hear it. Meanwhile, other videos actually review the guitar, with sound, mind, and give us their opinions on the strengths and weaknesses, but only after actually playing them. Sorry, but this is rubbish.

Hi Just found you from UkuleleWales site, really enjoyed your story. I was, to start with a Guitar Dad at a new church (1980) and I am still playing (now a bass) in church having been through the various youth groups and different churches as I have moved house. At 74 I realise that my playing days are getting less, but the other week I Played my Kala electric acoustic bass in church for the first time and loved it. My singing voice has is now not good and the ability to worship by music is really satisfying. Keep going it's really worthwhile.

Have you considered having the P pickup rewired for parallel instead of the stock series wiring? From the videos I've reviewed Parallel is brighter yet softer, which seems like it would be a good match for short scale Bass' and flat wound strings.

I just got one used. Someone put in a CTS blend & Seymour Duncans. So, I don't have a clue what an original sounds like or if the switch is worth keeping. Short scales are a fav of mine though, and this jem is on my short list. I recommend the Levy's 3" cotton for basses with a bit of neck dive. HF thumpers. TY Ma'am.

I’m 26’s and never had it done before. My family has a lot of GI issues so my mother gave me some info on this back when she had to do it a year or so ago. I’m not used to putting myself in the hands of others so it’s kinda freaking me out. I’m having them both done in two weeks, but I’m excited to hopefully get a diagnosis for whatever it is that’s been hurting me for years.

I've been playing the Mexican made version of this bass for 4 months and love it. I agree completely with the switch complaints, I'm always hitting it, mostly coming in and out of the bag so it's now routine to check after putting on my strap.

I just got the Hartke 3500 Mofset. When I power it on, I wait about 30 seconds and then it clicks. Finally, after it clicks, it sends an output to my cabinet. Is this normal for these amps? Thanks! P.S. sometimes it clicks in after 30 seconds, sometimes it clicks in after 3 seconds... So strange. Hope someone can explain.

Hi - Thank you for posting this . Question time : I have 5 9v pedals . I see that the ISO 5 only has 4 inputs for the 9v . Can I daisy chain them all ?? And is it ok to input into just 1 of the 9v holes ?? Or should I split them up ?? Maybe 2 and 2 and 1 ?? ( something like that ). I just wonder if having all 5 going into 1 9v input would be too much . I have no idea about these sorts of things . Your help is greatly appreciated 🙏

I've been playing a no name PJ for a little over 10 years. Sounds good, especially since I put new P pickups in it and a short time later had a 3 way switch installed to use P separately, J separately, or both together. But this bass weighs like 10 pounds and feels heavier due to massive neck dive. I was trying to find out what basses would be lighter, but it's hard to find specific info except on really expensive basses. Then I found out some well-known bass players play short scale it got me thinking. For some reason I thought of those as for kids, but they are also good for adults with smaller hands or even some arthritis. That spoke to me. I was in a music store today and tested 2 short scale basses. A Mitchell MB100 short scale. I liked how it looked with the PJ pickup format. I wasn't as happy with how the fretboard felt or even the sound that much. Seemed very bassy and I had to crank the mids on the amp more to get my sound. The other bass I tried was a Squier Bronco. I plugged that in and it was near perfect with the amp eq's set in the middle where I started with the Mitchell. I also much preferred the feel of the neck. I looked at, but didn't test the Precision mini. That just felt too small, almost fragile. Same with the Ibanez Mikro. Really leaning toward the Bronco. I thought at first I wouldn't like it with just that single pickup, but somehow that provides a sound I like, not even all that different from my full size PJ. Also, that single pickup gives my picking fingers more room to operate.
