How can you call a track, which failed to chart very highly, better than the one that gave them a number one hit? If you want to talk "smack" about best Survivor song then at least show you know what you are talking about. Rebel Girl, unreleased on a studio album, but a single has to be part of the conversation.. Rocking in to the Night, given away to 38 Special has charm that no other Survivor song had because once the third album came along, the sound seemed to be solidified in Frankie's vision, not Jim Peterik's vision and Jim was the band creator and visionary, Frankie merely an upstart who benefited by meeting Jim.

I think, ultimately, that Caught in the Game was released too soon after "Eye of the Tiger" - just look at those countdown chart videos, even when you know that "Eye of the Tiger:" charted for six weeks, finding a video that features it is rare, because it is just six of fifty two weeks. I believe Survivor betrayed Dave Bickler, though then we got the wonder that is Jimi Jamison. He too would be betrayed by the band which ultimately seems to be revealed as the label and Frankie Sullivan against the other members and so we Survivor fans lose out because of Frankie who arguably isn't as good a band member or maybe even guitarist as Jim Peterik was and is.

That arsehole stanway still steals tonys music and plays it in kingdom of crap. A disgrace because stanway says its a tribute. Hows it a tributecwhen tony didnt approve. Its an insult

Really cool. First I thought wait what, Roland’s? But I gotta say drummer sounds really really good. Whole band sounds great. Tate singing spot on. Gonna pack their next venues no doubt.

Geoff Tate still has the pipes; a virtual leviathan of progressive metal singing. No other has taken his championship from him. His Operation: Mindcrime album was a huge inspiration for my own forthcoming concept album.

He's lost a bit off the fastball (hard not to after almost 40 years) but still sounds damn good! One of my all-time favorite albums.

All these DECADES later, and the man still is singing like he wrote them just yesterday. And what is really cool of Both Guitar players here, is staying original to the songs leads as they play these songs to a "T" as they should be played, as you can't really improve on perfection, and Geoff Tate and Chris DeGarmo differences set aside, those 2 and the entire band in what they wrote in Operation Mindcrime, is musical & lyrical PERFECTION! They wrote one of the most iconic, futuristic albums whose melodies will never die, and the lyrics still unfortunately share hard truths to this day. The Melodies in this album are forevermore. Just a great performance here!! Thanks for posting it! - Bill C

Best concept album of the 80's! Man, Tate is still hitting those notes! I put him behind just Steve Perry as the best vocalist of my generation.

Personally i love female singers but in general i prefer male singers as a daily driver, they tend to have a more raw, harder, raspier voice and even lyrics, i dont know many female bands that go really heavy BUT thats just one part of many. dont care who sings if the lyrics arent matching up or the instrumentals jsut dont sound well. I love her VOice, she can hit highs and lows really well and the lyrics are appealing to me (havent listend much yet so i wont oversell that opinion, wouldnt be fair) "Feel" really hit a spot.

For me, the core of Magnum was Tony, Bob and Mark. Mark joined Magnum in 1980 and he was a integral part of the band sound for so many years. Wish Mark, Micky an Richard (three former magnum players) all the best with Kingdom of madness. Hope to see them live.

The way i see it, blackmore seems to dump vocalists who earn a bit of the limelight . It seems he wants all the limelight for himself.

In my opinion is Tony Clarkin the only rock musicians from the 70s and 80s who's last 10 abums are better than the 10 first.
