Great video! Still relevant today in 2024. Another reason to get the 180 tourist card/“visa” is for those Mexican/Mexican-American individuals that travel to Mexico every December to visit family. The lines for permits at the INM offices are ridiculously long and many opt to bypass this and just pay off the checkpoint agents. This is highly risky but people do it anyways because waiting several hours for a permit is just not worth it, especially if it means having to drive in the dark due to the wait time. If you live near a border or planning to visit Mexico before your December trip, get the 180 day card and follow the guidance from the video. This way you’ll cross into Mexico come December and will not need to wait in line for hours at the INM office. Don’t forget about your temporary vehicle import permit.

US 120v equipment is designed for 10% variation, should be fine on 127. Indeed don't use none of them on 220 without transformer. I don't even agree with Brazil system even though I never been there myself. Really they should only use round pin plugs, C and N, for 220-240. But having the same plug type for 127 and for 220 is just asking for trouble. 120/127, imo, should only use American A and B type plugs, even if in another country. I went to Bangkok and I knew full well about their hybridized sockets accepting A,B, and C and O, but all on 220. It's too easy to make a deadly mistake
