It is now clear why the current Iron Dome defense system radars are inadequate. If necessary, why can't cut-off multiple beam sector beams (stationary multi narrow beamwidths radiation) be created? Multiple sector beams Multiple target discrimination. Right?

Vessel in summer draft 9.54 (1,025) But vessel in density (1,015) after making DWA there will increase the draft 8.5 cm will be 9.625 m Is it allowed to loading to this draft without any question from harbor master why ship is over load summer draft????

Good Day Sir.I have question regarding this issue.If I sail from tropical zone to any dock inside this zone how i will calculate? could you please clarify?
@deckprep
@deckprep Жыл бұрын
Is your question "how do I calculate change in draft if I stay in one zone for the entire voyage?" If that is your question then calculate your burnoff weight (tons/day x days) and then divide that by TPI and then apply to your original draft. Did that answer your question?

Hello Capt. How are you, are you still alive? i have a very important question about in step 4 calculation. Where did you get the multiplier value of 0.53 to draft?. Thanks
@deckprep
@deckprep Жыл бұрын
.53 x draft is an approximation of the height of the center of buoyancy. For a perfectly rectangular shaped hull, the height of the center of buoyancy would be .5 draft but for a typical merchant vessel hull it is about .53 due to the flare, camber, etc.

I used that small plotting sheet because I was shooting a video and wanted something small and easy to move in and out of view. If I was doing that problem for my exam I would have used chart 923 and 924 which are much bigger and have a much larger scale. 923 and 924 are available in the exam room when you sit for your license.

I'm sure there are other ways to drive the formula but I don't know them. This derivation is pretty simple and uses formulae that have been previously introduced in the course making it a simple straight forward method. Thanks for your comment

@deckprep
@deckprep Жыл бұрын
There is a new version of Bowditch in the works that brings back a lot of the material that was in the 1981 version but not included in the 2019 version. The NMC has said that they will adopt the newer version in the exam room. I'm not sure when it will be available. If you are testing soon you might try calling the REC directly and ask them which versions of Bowditch they will have available for you.
