lol yea the Westen way is easy and quicker but the awd engine I had to change the oil pan to a 4 speed transmission pan because the bolt holes didn’t line up and also had to buy and install the 4 speed flywheel because the torque converter wouldn’t like up to the 5 speed flywheel i believe the 5speed was a 6 bolt and the 4 speed is a 4 bolt

I had the same problem I swapped it from the 4 plug to a 3 plug one, I went to the junk yard to get a harness that only had the 3 plug so I just swapped the transmission

Yes but also I change the transmission to a different 4 speed without a certain plug I forgot what it was but I know it went from a 4 plug to a 3 plug and Not yet but I believe I know what it is, so I will be getting back to it soon

Yea it’s in the shop right now and they can’t seem to figure out what’s going on so I’m going to pull the motor back out and check the wiring again

@@NaldoCars when I got mine to an engine shop they said the year we have is not interchangeable with the larger motor. I didn’t understand why. But I got the call this morning and mine is finally being rebuilt. I hope someone figures it out for you. 🤞🏾

No I never figured out the problem to the shifting it’s been at the shop, and they haven’t find the problem either, I just been working a lot and purchasing a nother vehicle but imma get it back and start back working on it on my spare time. Now the mounts from the AWD and the RWD motor mounts are different so I had to Change them out and so are the brackets but only one side of it is I forgot which side it was though I believe it was the driver side, don’t quote me though

It was easy but you’ll need a ac vacuum to get the refrigerant out the compressor and just unbolt the 2.7 lines and replace the with the 3.5 lines I did it without removing the bumper

No I ran them how they were supposed to be ran from factory only one was different was the top heater core hose from the coolant reservoir it’s T’d from the hose to the upper heater core to the engine hose and on the 3.5 it’s t’d at the back of the engine.

It depends but to convert the engine from a 5 speed to a 4 speed I swapped the oil pan and the flex plate because the 4 speed torque converter won’t mate up to the 5 speed flex plate and that was it.

I’m running the 2.7 and no i didn’t get any codes at all for the dual runners no codes at all

Yea and I had to swap the flex plate, oil pan and I believe the passenger side engine mount bracket because the engine came from a 5 Speed AWD car.

I’ll change it and see, I have an extra one from the 2.7

And did you ever fix the acceleration noise?

@@NaldoCars tbh I have no idea bro all Iknow it was once a 2.7 and he changed it to a 3.5, I took it to a transmission shop they couldn’t figure nothing out, but I was told it could be a gear link or linkage that’s broke or something

I think you mean L instead of 1 but I would check the transmission plugs they are probably in the wrong plugs
