They didn't even bother to decorate Merry's head. Why would they attach anything else to the ship? If they had left only the head, painted it, it would have turned out to be an exact copy of Going Merry

To be honest, Netflix REALLY NEEDS to do a live action version of this opening sequence, it would take what's turning out to be an amazing live action adaption into a GREAT one.

It would be nice to put we are properly into the live action somewhere, rather than the 10 second clip we got of it XD. That was already so nice though. I actually watched the live action first, and that bit of music really stood out to me as some of the best. I was so happy when I found out I'd essentially get an extended version in the form of the entire opening theme for the early arcs :)
