I wouldn't trust Sunrun, based on my experience. They installed a defective roof on my house. I spent two years trying to get them to repair it. They forced me under duress of an open water leak during heavy rains to find my own contractor, because Sunrun claimed they couldn't locate their original contractor who did the work. They also claimed they couldn't find anybody to repair my roof. Can you believe it? So I was forced to use my own contractor and forced to sign a document that Sunrun isn't responsible. Of course the damage to my roof when Sunrun installed it was so extensive that new leaks kept appearing and much of the damage was hard to figure out since the repair people weren't who installed it. So when further repairs were needed Sunrun claimed they weren't responsible and refused to repair the roof any further. Furthermore their last email was unfriendly and seemed hostile, and they made false claims regarding the matter, I believe so they could save the email later as false evidence if they got sued. One false claim they made was that there were no active leaks in the roof, so "therefore they aren't responsible". There are at least two active leaks I'm aware of. The workers who installed the roof didn't speak any English. I couldn't talk to them. I feel pretty sure they were undocumented workers. Are there any Americans who don't speak English? I think that answers the question. One thing to be aware of. Everybody at Sunrun was nice and polite and tried to sound accommodating. But when it came down to responsibility for paying for the roof repair, I felt that they had ulterior motives and their conversations were ultimately strange and not quite right. I felt any friendliness in the end was pretending. Here's what should have happened: I report to Sunrun that their roof is leaking and they simply take care of the entire matter without bothering me and simply arrange a schedule when I can be home to allow the workers in. Instead I have a roof that had been damaged for two years that now needs over $7000 in repairs. No matter how you slice it, Sunrun bent over backwards to not help me, and then they treated me as if I was some rogue criminal off the streets. The last correspondence they sent to me was condescending and accusing. But the reality is they installed a damaged roof and it’s still damaged and they won’t fix it. As if I’m a bad person. That’s how they treated me when it came down to the responsibility of paying. I was completely shocked and horrified. I truly thought they were a legitimate company in the beginning, but now I feel They are extremely risky and can’t be trusted if anything goes wrong. I’m certain they will offer a lot of heartfelt platitudes for a while until the money part enters the picture, and then you’ll know who your friends aren’t!

first of all - this man is selling you his services (specifically Sunup), so he is inclined to lie second - you don't go solar at no cost, you have to pay for and maintain the system, which can be either very unprofitable, or very profitable (though these companies charge way too much, so do your own research instead)

The comments show how bad most Americans are at math. Solar is effectively free. You won't pay a penny out of pocket, your electric bill will go down, and your monthly bills will stay about the same until you pay off the panels and then you save $$. Only complicated if you are a conservative.

Solar only works in very specific areas. It’s unsustainable in my area for the cost, and unfortunately our social fascist government is busy destroying our country economy with “carbon tax”, and hardly anyone can afford it at this point. Mark is so far out in left field he has no idea about the real world.

Problem is most people rent and you can't get solar unless your property owner says ok. And places I know that did do it, charged more in rent because they went solar because it's considered fancy tech that increases value. Everything gets used to exploit people

You are responsible for cleaning the solar panels on your roof, 5 years of dust reduces solar output significantly, doubt me, look what happened to the Mars rover, look at your dusty car after a rain, so it's all BS.

The equipment to harvest solar energy is expensive and hard on the environment. You have to pay PLENTY for solar energy. But it’s nice to know actors can still memorize the scripts they’re given by the producers/directors, for the cameras. The 82 I.Q.s are listening.

It's not the most cost effective way to get energy, but it's green (aside from the large amount of emissions that are a result of mining the minerals, the paneling process and transportation) pretty reliable (with the output depending on the day due to temperature, dust, shade and weather) but most importantly in a country where electricity is cut across the nation for 2-4 hours at a time, from once to 5/6 times a day, it's useful when paired with an invertor to store the power it generates
@mcman007
@mcman007 Жыл бұрын
The "no cost" commentary is of course misleading. Take his math at $120 savings monthly. That is only $1440 per year and $14,440 in ten years, still only half of what most full house solar systems cost and about the time the panels need to be replaced.
@T3KFTW
@T3KFTW Жыл бұрын
this is the most confusing ad ever. Are you promoting solar or telling us not to buy it? Solar is a great option now that panels have gone up in capacity and gone down in price.
