You're doing amazing art ! Drawing is always about experiencing new things, new styles. To overcome your limits, there are moments were you feel like you don't progress anymore but be sure eventually your overall level will skyrocket. Be it digital or traditional, both are really interesting and instructing and require time to find your own identity. Just stay opened to different exciting methods and styles and you'll always get better at it ! Hope you find yourself with time

i relate to just about all of this, just backwards 😂 ive been doing digital art for like nearly a decade now, and i want to do more traditional just for fun, and to have physical work like you said. but i just have no clue how to translate my style from digital to traditional. i think i could do it with gauche, i just gotta put the time into it.

I didnt even think of the value difference yet! And I have never seen anyone say if they pile up the paper or not so thank you for telling those things! I thought about buying these but i think the sets are too big to simply try out a new medium to see if you like it or not. I think if you are having trouble with the dried up pens, the SimpTap marker artxx has would be better. I have them and I love them. Sadly only around 20 colours but they are cheap, have a brush tip and you control the flow by pressing the button on the back. They are so far the only acrylic markers that work for me. The regular ones you pump the nib with always dry up or the flow isn’t good or it puddles when pushing the nip. They just don’t work for me sadly but the simptap ones I really love so far!

Wow, maybe I’ll try them sometime! Sometime a limited color selection like that can actually be helpful for being creative with your color choices. These markers seemed like they would have had a good selection, but didn’t 😭 thanks for the recommendation!
