I usually ask what they would like to get the word out about. What new procedures they are doing? What are some of the most common questions their ideal clients are asking?

First. Thank you for all your videos. I really appreciate your hard work and thoughtfulness. Lets say I am an in network Medicare Part B provider. There is a patient with Medicare Primary and Medicaid Secondary ( Qualified Medicare Beneficiary) . I understand how to bill Medicare (thanks to your videos). I am not an in network provider with Medicaid (for all the oblivious reasons). do I even need to bill them? (they won't pay I believe because their fee schedule is less than Medicare). Am I allow to not bill a secondary Medicaid insurance or do I have to bill it even though I want get any money in return? Thank you for your answer

Hi Tony, thanks so much for your videos. They are so helpful. As a sole proprietor, I currently submit all claims using my individual/type 1 NPI. If I were to 1099 a colleague for vacation coverage, using the reassignment option, would I need to submit the claim using a group/type 2 NPI? Thanks again!

Thank you for this! Do you think this general template would be helpful in the SNF setting? Our UHC folks get cut so early no matter how amazing the documentation is😢

You are right. I would say if you go above a couple visits you run a greater risk of denial. I think it goes back to the intent behind the policy and coverage. Often, the policy is paying you to show the patient what to do, not get the patient to being able to do it. I think we can glean useful information from companies like Cohere and AIM. They automatically give you 4 or 5 visits because that is what they are expecting to pay for. More than that requires significant complications and justification.

Hey Tony! I am A contractor through Luna doing this currently. In the Atlanta market, Luna currently pays 70 per visit, or 77 if its your own referral. From a financial perspective do you think that this is sustainable for the long term or do you think I eventually need to begin implementing my own billing and EMR?
@jordanjoseph213924 күн бұрын
Hey, just curious, since your business is contracted through Luna, i assume you have your own website right? So let’s say, a perspective patient saw your website and wants to see you, do you have them go through Luna or you see them directly without Luna? I guess for both scenarios self pay and insurance.

Your channel has become my favorite about phyaical therapy I first got into the field because iw as essentially told i should and i would be gold at it. And it turns out i am good at it. But i was not prepared for state of the field or the school debt. The subreddit was very unhelpful and filled with doom and gloom and people just telling me to change careers. Your channel has given me a more clear path towards tsking control of my furture and developing as a therapist and to hopefully one day operste as an indeoendent PT

First off, so glad I found your channel. Thanks for all the content, truly! So how are you to prove your services are not medically necessary? What do you physically have to do? Does that change with the type of non-covered service (i.e. sport performance exercise)?

Can I ask your take on the outlook for PTAs with reimbursements dropping? I'm asking because I'm about to start the PTA program at Sinclair Comm. College (not far from you!) in the Fall. Do you think it's possible I could be making 70-80k after a few years? (not doing it for the money, but money still matters). Thanks.

Hi, assessing a PT evaluation for 12 minutes billed as 97161. If Cpt codes 97161, 97162, 97163 & 97164 are un timed code, why do they state in their description typically 20,30,45 & 20. I do understand that word typically, but notation of time is misleading. Also, if the PT evaluates a patient for 26 minutes can/should they be requesting 97162 because these untimed codes. Or even 40 minutes eval for 97163.

We were just discussing this in our Peer2peer group. Great information. We have tried utilizing scribes in the clinic and I found that my PT's got to the point that they preferred to just do the documentation themselves. I like the idea of AI organizing the information. In this day with insurance constantly dropping reimbursement or limiting number of visits anything that can make us more efficient is worth exploring. Thanks for the content.
