@Danielle Miller Doesn’t mean that biting is something that should be allowed, just because Honey is cute. When they’re babies, even if it’s hard because it’s adorable, you don’t let the babies bite because then that turns into a 1200lbs animal will a biting or nipping problem. The point I’m making is that Sophie isn’t teaching Honey any ground manners or basics, and it’s gonna end up with a poor-mannered horse, even if this example is better than others.

Sophie,since you are finished isolating her, when are you going to let her out into the big grass field to run around and play?? She really needs exercise. She has only walked around with you and been in that tiny pen Gabby and your dad made for her.

Her breed is miniature, Blanket is just a coat, and Appaloosa's are much bigger then that, I have a appy so I know lol And, something my trainer told me with young horses/ ponies/ foals, don't let her grab the brush out of your hand when you try grooming her, when she is older and you whant to brush her she'll remember her old and cute foal manners, and grab it out of your hand, it get's annoying and you are already letting her do whatever she whant's, I think she needs to be ( And soooo many people agree.. ) sold to someone that knows how to train a foal, or just until she is older perhaps then Sofie can take her back? I don't know, it's just something I've heard and seen.

Do you want your next horse to be a palomino, also? You definitely do like palominos, I think that’s why you like Denver🙂 I know Brandan is leaving so is there a new instructor at the lesson barn, or are you guys just going to be able to go out and ride their horses on your own?

Hi mini Honey🍯I did guess the name so got it right ! 💛😁
@catetemple3112 жыл бұрын
Yes, let’s let the foal we are currently “isolating” (even though you are not isolating at all. It’s about as effective as wearing a mask on a chin) from the other horses to keep them healthy put her face in other horse’s manure. That’s definitely how isolation works and definitely how you keep a horse healthy and from getting sick/j. Like come on.

what were you guys thinking getting a FOAL
@jessicagray36482 жыл бұрын
And for the record, when she's older and has the appropriate training, you could CERTAINLY have a therapy horse program with proper certification and insurance to take her off site. Don't let others sway your dreams. If that's what you want to do, you can absolutely make that happen :) XOXO

Please isolate her. I know it’s hard but it is the best thing for her and the other horses. I know you don’t want anything bad to happen to any of them.
@songbirds37122 жыл бұрын
There seems to still be a lot of confusion about Honey’s age. And a lot of judgement based on the confusion. So Sophie, I’m sure Honey has a birthday, and you said both her mom and dad are blanket Appaloosas, so there is basic knowledge about them. What date was cute Honey born? How big is mom? How big is dad? And the biggest question….Honey is very fluffy and appears to have a mane and tail that indicate she is younger than 8 months. Did she shed during the summer? Is her coat now her winter coat coming in? If so, why is her coat so light colored?
@alinareybey32632 жыл бұрын
Her breed isn’t a “blanket apaloosa” 😂💀she’s a miniature horse with the that possible coloring. Homegirl doesn’t even know her breeds.

I wrote on your mom’s vlog that back in 2001 as a rider (I was 11 myself), I had a 15 year old AQHA palomino mare named Honey. Her show name was Queen’s Quiet Storm. 🧡 She ended up being pregnant (previous owners didn’t know) and had the prettiest blue eyed cremello filly months later.

Sorry to say, but there is absolutely no way you will be able to take her here in Ontario Canada to nursing homes. Also, Palamino is color not breed. Just saying 🙂
@SophiesLife2 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that! We uses to take puppies often to nursing homes. I haven't seen a mini horse. She could definitely do preschools. As long as you have the correct insurance i know they welcome that atuff. We used to take chickens and our baby lambs and goats into the preschools.
@songbirds37122 жыл бұрын
@@coffeeandhorses also, I would assume that rules may have changed from when Laura and the girls used to visit schools with chickens, etc. These days anyone who works with kids, even as a volunteer, may be asked to submit fingerprints and minimal background checks, before moving freely through a school building. Maybe it is different in Canada, but in the states entry doors to daycares, preschools, elementary, and high schools are locked. Gone are the days when you walk up and push the door to the school open.
