So I come with this imagination of a transformers studio series Dark of the Moon “concept art Sentinel Prime”. The DOTM concept art for Sentinel Prime looks amazing where he is all gold and not donning any earth vehicle parts. I would love studio series to make a toy of such an idea where he would also turn into something Cybertronian while the body is as movie accurate, kinda similar to the Studio Series leader class The Fallen for example. Hope I can spread my idea here….

So Beachcomber gets re-released, but not G1 Stunticon Breakdown? SS86 Snarl, but not SS86 Grimlock? I’m glad to hear about SS86 Ultra Magnus, and Cosmos (supposedly), but some of these other re-releases really have me scratching my head.

Bruticus has to be my favourite just because of the sheer variety of vehicle modes composing him. Luckily in the modern days we have Volcanicus to go toe to toe with Predaking!

Got g1 Menasor for Christmas and love him tbh espically motor master turning into a base and connecting with city bots is a neat gimmick also own foc Bruticus as well😆

For some reason I've never been into combiners, like sure they're a cool concept but as toys which is how I enjoy transformers, I just prefer the individual bots as a team, I don't enjoy huge toys to play with and a combiner is just 5 toys worth of fun smashed together as a big figure that doesn't do much else. I vastly prefer a team of themed individual toys because that means more variety but if I have to pick a favourite combiner it's gotta be piranacon.

The fem bots need a better mold along with Arcee as her SS86 and earthrise is just not up to scratch. I know her cartoon model is not the best to replicate accurately as a toy but it can be done, her masterpiece looks good so its just a case of a bigger budget assigned to her.

Combining is my favorite transformers gimmick. The Aerialbots were my first and still my favorite.

I've never bought any third party figures but from watching reviews of them their quality is not a whole lot different from official product. They're either quite good or they've got bad QC. As an example I bought SS86 Ironhide a few months back and while it's not super loose his right arm was looser than his left arm right out of the box.

Good video, bad figure. Agree completely on the lame alt mode, and will definitely be skipping this one. Was never a huge Blaster fan to begin with, and vastly prefer the original toy over the modern retool.

Best 3rd party Megatron is the Monocrat Megatank. He is literally a work of art, weighs a ton, incredible detail, super strong ratchet joints with amazing articulation and he is massive, over 13 inches tall

I collect MP scale mostly, and many of them are third party.

The cons of a KO outweigh the pros of ANYTHING HASBRO releases. The 3P scene blows away everything. The pricing on most is worth it. There are overpriced companies such as Takara & FansToys. But FansToys has some features that would provide that extra value on many of their figures. Look at the diminished quality of HASBRO, look at how many items you actually miss EVEN WITH PREORDERING THEM. You can get a higher quality MP scale 3P piece for a little more than what the mainline cost is. If you can't spend it don't want to spend more than what the mainline releases cost, you can always look into the legends scale such as New Age or Magic Square. You'll get a much better figure & you'll help out HASBRO in the gutter where they belong.

I have a mix of Takara, third-party and KO. Most of my third-party figures are XTransbots because the company produces some quality toys at reasonable prices. I have only one Fans Toys figure because the company prices its figures at levels I don't want to pay.

You know, I always preferred CHUG stuff to Masterpiece. 3rd party should start doing that.

When Hasbro is not able to do it. 3rd party can. Our money, we buy whichever is better.
