What're the benefits you see? Is it just more aerodynamic so it's blown less during the cast, or do the fish target for different lures during choppy water conditions?

With my experience, yes, it's more aerodynamic with the cast and the added weight helps alot I'm able to deliver my bait in a specific area without hardly any issues and with the choppy waters the clarity sometimes being an issue I like using something larger shiny and or dark or bright colors.
