So true, I’m just working, taking care of stuff at home and sleeping… and I used to scroll on TikTok a lot to get my mind empty. Now instead I try to spend more time on my hobbies and I feel so much happier! Also started working out again after years 😅 so I really get your struggle, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of working all the time and feeling like you don’t have the energy for your hobbies anymore, we should be more intentional about it! Loved the reorganization video, well done for doing it in one day! I know what you mean about the consumerism, it feels like you’re not even a proper reader if you only read 10 books a year, or even less. Even though it should matter that we all just enjoy reading! I find it so hard to find books I enjoy these days, and then I think, ‘do I not like reading anymore?’ But when I get down to the core I just need to focus on my enjoyment of reading and not anything else. I love your bookshelf! I think that booktok/booktsagram is a little bit oversaturated. Lately I've been finding my "comfort" space in some accounts on instagram that make me want to read more and that I appreciate not only their bookish content, but also their "personal" content. On KZbin, I really like watching vlogs and reading vlogs.

i agree that the book community is becoming more and more about consumerism… not only that, but it also feels like publishers are trying to get out as many books as possible to the audiences and focusing more on tropes than quality. i’ve just accepted that there are times when I won’t feel like reading as much and it’s completely fine! reading is supposed to be my safe space, i don’t want it to feel like a chore :,) (and btw what’s the name of the website where you get your second-hand books from? i didn’t catch the name, sorry 😅)

Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves kzbin.infoUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

Beautiful bookshelf but I cannot get over the fact the The Dragon Republic is floating like 1 cm above the bookshelf and you didn’t notice 😭

I'm on book 2 and i like them but I'm so uncomfortable with the jace-clary thing. Why cassandra, did you make them siblings???? Why did you pull a star wars but worse because they STAY attracted to eachother after they find out???? They've made out like 4 times. Am i supposed to be rooting for them?? Like if they were step-siblings i might be able to try to justify it for a fictional book but just.....no. At first i was like "it's a cliché romance but it's fine i like that" but when it was revealed that Jace was her brother I was so confused and distressed. This is such a weird choice to write into a book. I hope it is resolved soon. I wish it wasn't true but it seems like it is and it would be weird to go back on it now.
