Very nice. I prefer to work top to bottom so the tools don’t get dragged up the new stained stairs but that’s just me😊

Looks great. Skirting boards before treads would have really added to the look as well.

Thank you for your video. I want to make myself a tread mill with no motor. However, it's to many parts, so I am going to try to make me a dog treadmill, which takes less material. I don't want it to run a marathon just for walking. I will build it with measurements that would be for a human. Thanks again for your video.

Love the video but could have been edited to make it 9 MTs max!!!!! Love your dog but wrong channel to just watch a DOH and how you use a hoover

Currently in the process of doing our stairs! Getting the cuts exactly flush is proving impossible. It won’t be perfect but it’ll be much better!

Don’t remove carpet with out a mask I got so sick from it. Old house and nasty under lay and saturated with animal urine from previous owners and much more

Do all stairs need re tread? Or can you just paint and stain the stairs as they are? How do you know ...?

You had me until you added all those tacky nails to keep the treads and risers in place. Kind of ruined it, actually.

Just a tip before staining, use 180 grit and lightly sand. It’ll stain more evenly. Also, when using poly, use the sponge brushes, gives it a more even coat! Other than that, great job! Another thing I might suggest doing for whoever decided to do this. Using white silicone for the white part (risers) before adding the stained one. So I can look cohesive to the wall.

Just got done watching another video demonstrating how much safer it was to have carpet on steps than vinyl plank flooring which is safer than hardwoods.

Question: do you really need risers or can you save the time/cost and just paint the wood as it is? I’ve also seen some people use the peel and stick paper?

You DO NOT show enough of the after-shots. I have to carefully pause to show my wife what it may look like if we follow your advice. Why would you spend the time to show us how to do this and not give us a few long, slow shots of the final product?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I’m conflicted on either trying to build this or just spend the $500 to buy one. Either way my dogs energy never wears out and yes my yard looks like that. As do my floors 🥲

Hi, since you are adding 1" steps/treads, the space between the top step and floor will be an inch shorter than the rest. Also, the bottom step will be an inch taller. Could this be out of code? And a tripping hazard?
