Gary, thanks. I could not tell from video, but the top of the hanger fits into the 1 inch, or thereabouts hole, and is fastened there with a bolt and flange, right? These steps aren’t on Amazon now, but keep looking?

One more question: my son wants the tires you recommend and as you said they are excellent in snow, my tire guy is telling me that I would be better off getting a blizzak pure snow tire for winter. WDYT? Thanks

Blizzaks are great in ice and snow due to the soft rubber and sipping. I’d still go with the proven BFG tires that most everyone puts on these Sprinters. The Blizzaks I had on another vehicle wore out really fast due to the soft rubber.

The problem with the AC vents in back is that it doesn't help you unless the van is running. Sometimes we run our 12V AC while driving but the one in front does a really great job all the way to the back. We find ourselves turning it down to 3 after a few minutes of blowing at 7. I love the 144" because you can park it anywhere you can park a short pickup truck. (same size). It's easy to back up and easy to maneuver as well. With two adults and two dogs we are fine in there.

I was literally on my way to the dealer this morning to pick up an all-wheel-drive, but it’s much more expensive. Please get back to me as soon as possible. Well....if you wallet is full of money and you want the best, go for the AWD. The 2WD has been fine for us once we did the suspension upgrade and added the weight of our interior. I think the AWD will be the same situation, you'll need to do a Van Compass Stage 2 at a minimum to drive it on a windy day. It's scary to drive these vans with a crosswind. Check out the suspension video I made last year.

The van is rear wheel drive and a turbo 4cyl gas. I have 17” BFG KO2 tires which are excellent in the snow. If you need help building your van I’m starting to take on work

They are holding up great....actually, I had a little parking lot accident on the right side and dented that one. Insurance bought me a new one and it just bolted back on. Saved me a lot of body work, the brackets didn't even bend at all.

Method 17X7.5 BLACK METHOD MR702 with 245/70R17 BFGOODRICH ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2. I bought them at Tire Rack and there is another video on this in my playlist. One interesting tidbit that I just found out when I rotated the tires the other day. They gave me one lug nut that was longer than the rest and it scraped the brake dust shield when the wheel rotated. I put a matched set the correct length on and all was fine. I wouldn't recommend Tire Rack, but highly recommend Discount Tire whom figured out that issue.

Thanks for the vid. Could you share how much space the canister for the roll n lock takes up? Like how long is your bed space from edge of tailgate to the canister, and how much vertical space is it from the bottom of the canister to the bed? Edge of tailgate to canister is 50.5". Bed to bottom of canister is almost 16". Still looking great and working great for me.

Thanks for posting this. The real trick website says it is not compatible with the multi-stow tailgate, which is what I think you have, and what is on my 2024 Colorado z71. Can you confirm you didn’t have any issues with that? I didn’t see any problems with your install.

Yup it works great! It’s a bit tricky to twist it into place and get the rollers on but once you’ve done it it’s no problem

underneath the side rails the first bolt holds it because of the interconnection between the side rail and it.

I’ve been using it with 300ah lithium Battleborns. And 400w solar. I think 400aj is fine but more solar might help on a sunny day.
