Shortbarrel el Jefe, is a blend of 3 different 6-9 year straight whiskey/bourbons, finished and aged in tequila barrels anywhere from 2 to 3 years. Shortbarrel Bourbon, out of Norcross GA, has become very popular in the south and is known for their high quality hand selected barrels and unique finishing processes. This particular blend comes in at 126 proof! Hope you've had the opportunity to try it, you won't regret it!

Is there an app or website that tells you when there is a special drop?
@BourbonHuntersGuide14 күн бұрын
There are Facebook groups for most Kentucky distilleries where people share what’s available that day. But no one really knows before it’s dropped

@BourbonHuntersGuide Thanks! I will have to check and see if I can find them. I only get back to Kentucky every once in a while to visit family. Keep posting great videos; I can't wait to see what else you all find.

Ok, using the expression “Budget Bourbon” and then saying $80 is a complete disconnect. There is absolutely NOTHING “Budget” about $80. Out of touch folks. Completely out of touch. Try 20-30 and 30-50 range.
@BourbonHuntersGuide14 күн бұрын
I can understand that. I think it can be considered budget only because there are bottles you can get at 80 that are just as good as bottles priced at 150+

You are on point for sipping bourbon for special guests and special occasions. I smoke cigars and can't spend 30 to 50 dollar on bourbons. Wild Turkey 101, Evan Williams White BnB 100 proof, and greatest of all for not-so-sweet every day bourbon is the the pre- Jim Beam product: OLD CROW is great for me for smoking cigars. MHO only.

That was so cool that you got that Buffalo Trace Bottle. The concept is a cool one. It just makes it hard to decide what barrel number to pick. I would have went for the WELLER mash bill as well. I live in Indiana and have wanted to get down there for a tour someday. I love the history of the whiskey and the people involved that helped it become what it is today. I keep hoping they will make little Buffalo Trace water towers to buy bc I think that would be a cool display piece. But all I can find rn are little ones for model trains. But they are still cool to me. Great video. God Bless

Really agree with the Four Roses regular "Small Batch". The OBSV Single Barrel stands above Small Batch as my go to and so far, pretty much available in NC (where I suffer to live). The OF 1920/ 1910 are also in my top 10. Great vlog Gents!

One of my top picks for value is Knob Creek 9 Year 100 proof 1.75L bottles at Costco for $42. Works out to a little over $18 per 750ml equivalent. Such a solid bourbon. Worth a splurge if you like Ritehouse (and I like ‘barely legal’ 51% Rye) is their higher 110 proof sister bottling with a little more age: Pikesville. Worth finding a bottle to try. Around $65.
