What was your reasoning to go with the woodcracker versus another make? Was looking at a small Kesla processing head for an 8-9 ton machine. Do you think this unit is stout enough build to be pulling trees through a mechanical pull-thru delimber as well? Do you also see any big production differences between your self propelled bandit chipper versus the pull behind vermeer? Thanks!
@Too_treeasy
@Too_treeasy 11 ай бұрын
Woodcrackers support is amazing and we dont use a prosser head all we need is to get them down.. the foot (the heel) is a little heavy but it does alright. Our vermeer is a little older so the newer bandit does better forsure but i dont know about a new vermeer

Good work. Why do you prefer excavator over a skid steer?
@Too_treeasy

the big advantage with the ex is you can sit in one spot and not have to track around and make ruts in the yard or what ever.. plus really easy to feed a chipper with
@KennysTreeRemoval
@KennysTreeRemoval Жыл бұрын
@@Too_treeasy We have mini ex, mini skids, and full size skids, I see your point on the Ex and couldn't agree more,, but that would only apply if you can get the chipper near the tree/brush or if you are craning everything out. If you have to bring stuff from a distance (backyard to the front yard etc) it will take much longer with an EX, due to being much lower in speed and grapple is limited to the amount of brush it can grab, and lifting power. Compared to a full size skid speed, lifting power capacity and amount grapple can grab at once. Your thoughts?
@Too_treeasy
@Too_treeasy Жыл бұрын
@@KennysTreeRemoval yes you got it 100% correct if your dragging the brush longer distances then it would be more efficient with a skid of some sort.. but we love the ex and we also do a lot of crane trees so the ex is the best fit for us👍
