Hey Erin, great question. It's going to be a lot different than Atl, and Baltimore out here so brace yourself. The overall African American population is approximately 7%. The majority of that 7% reside in the East Valley (Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, & South Phoenix.) We started in Tempe and moved to South Phoenix. We moved here four years ago a lot has changed and things are picking up downtown now that wouldn't be so bad now. Hope this helps let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi and thanks so much for watching our videos. We've been here a year now and are enjoying it especially as fall is around the corner. It is no where as diverse as DC; definitely just a different vibe all-together, but we honestly haven't made it a point of concern. If you're looking for the lack of diversity, it will be magnified. But we can say, that the people we've met are really cool, and we're learning to embrace all that the city has to offer. It's hard not to fall into the comparison trap when moving to a new place, but once we settled down, we began to appreciate it more. Good luck with your move.

Yes, we are still here. There are pockets of diversity in all throughout the city. Very different than DC though. It has taken some adjusting, but we're making it. Hit us up if there is anything we can assist you with.

Hi Derek! Thanks for the comment and questions. We haven't experienced any racism; ppl have been very friendly. Summers are def HOTTTT!! but manageable since you're inside A/C most of the time, and the pool helps. Late Aug./Sept. is absolutely amazing tho. We haven't seen any scorpions, but friends have, and they mentioned ways to get rid of them. Good luck with your move;let us know if you make it down here.
