Lol, is more like a Cuban beef stew. Then a Mexican. Due to the fact that she added the banana and the yuca, those are typically added in Cuban soups. Soups, we do not add that, just say😅😅

Darling, the sauce was cooked on the chicken, check second 0:33. I added the cornstarch to the marinated sauce and then I put it on top of the chicken while the chicken was still cooking. Best regards.

Your recipe is some what different than what I know about caldo de res. Looks delicious, though. Platain in the soup - interesting. Never heard of yucca. Don't know if my grocery store sells it or not. Will look.
