I think that is a schnauzer but the tail is not docked.

Need this because several times I've been charged for general check-up yet they didn't do these things thoroughly, anymore. My first year of visit they did, but lately they didn't. Thank you for the super informative video!

Is it safe to do regular at home checkups so I don’t have to spend so much money on vet checkups
@Andrew-yf3lu2 жыл бұрын
I wouldnt recommend starting with the otoscope. Cats generally hate it , and will then be less compliant for the rest of the examination. Plus, its not particularly helpful if you can see with the naked eye, that the ears are not problematic.

Hi there. Not sure about the link between dental disease and renal issues.Do you have any studies showing this? I think there is something between teeth and heart disease, but never heard of renal insufficiency caused by dental disease. Also was thinking adult fleas do live on the host for a number of months.It's the rest of the life stages that live in the environment.Of course,the cat can always eliminate some of the adults while grooming, making it more difficult to find then than in dogs.

how to check pregnant cats?
@Sabalchasevetclinic7 жыл бұрын
cheewing Ho very gentle palpating can be done early in the pregnancy. As the big day gets closer, we recommend xrays to make sure the kittens are in the correct positions, and small enough to pass through the birth canal naturally. Thanks for watching!

Basically you will avoid touching their belly is’it ?Because one time when I watch a C-section video about pregnant cat.The vet squeeze her hand under the pregnant cat belly . seems checking something .I assume they are trying to check where are the kittens .What kind of situation when the vet need to use this kind of technique? What's the benefits and the risk?
@Sabalchasevetclinic7 жыл бұрын
It sounds like she was palpating in order to check the placement and position of the kittens. This is pretty routine, but needs to be done very gently so the momma cat stays calm and comfortable. It's especially important for a cat who is about to undergo a C-section. If she's stressed before the procedure, she may need more anesthesia, which could in theory, increase the anesthetic risks for both the mother and the kittens. Hope that answers your question.

Lymph nodes should be palpated, and mouth opened for intraoral exam if possible.Most cats have four pairs of mammary glands, not five.Adult fleas DO live on the cat. They will leave only if chased off. Cats are very good at grooming fleas off.Abdominal palpation of the internal organs should be performed.
