Golden Retrievers definitely kind to humans but notice they can be super aggressive with other dog breeds - anyone notice the same?

I have not watched, however the dogs I trust are German Shepherds and toy poodles.

my pom is a miniature Samoyed and he LOVES everyone, idk whats wrong with him, i didn't teach him that, i hate people, imagine living in a country where half the people worship an Orange dictator, can't spell hatred w/o the red hat !

My chiweenie is NOT the kindest of dogs when it comes to strangers or strange dogs. She is however the most loyal friend I've ever had and completely irreplaceable.

Being a dog groomer for over 28 years...the general observation is that there is rarely a bad dog, just owners that don't train them properly because they don't understand the nature and needs of the breed or are just lazy. If you miss match the temperment of animal with the life style and personality of owner you stress the dog out and misbehaviour will arise. Animals respond to Love and return far more than you give, but they also have many others needs as well. Such as a tasks for working breeds, exercise, social interaction.

Mini story time: I've had two male Labs in my life. One was with me from age 3-13, the other age 3-11. Both Labs were great dogs except around age 10, they liked to go chase female dogs since they weren't fixed, so heads-up on that. From the time I was born until I was around six-years-old, my family had a Border Collie. This dog was so protective of me that he wouldn't leave my side unless family, mainly one of my parents, was in the room. Fast forward to now, and I own a Border/Staffie mix, and he rarely is in a room alone. He's almost always around someone's chair or with me on the couch. My God, he loves snuggling and sleeping next to me.

had several breeds... but THE BEST, was a female St Bernard, they aren't a owners pet, they are the owners, meaning they have to be glued to the owner all the time or you will get home with a pee at the door and not wanting anything to do with you. But even then they are adorable, playful, kind, beautiful 🤩😍

As an owner of numerous different breeds, my Newf was the most amazing. Just seeing her everyday brought me joy. I miss her everyday.

I have my second, a rescue from Sacramento, and in spite of the trauma suffered the first two years of her life she has totally blossomed into the true sweetheart dog the Coton is known to be. The best dog I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve had some fantastic puppers. I just wish I’d discovered the breed years ago. 😄😍

Noone ever mentions the Basenji !!! Intelligent loving and family friendly ! I suppose no one mentions them because you have to smarter than the dog in order to train them !!!! Difficult situation with a Basenji😅😅😅 !!

I can't see a Poodle or Golden Retriever as a dogfighter any more than as a herder and I couldn't picture my Border Collie as duck retriever or a bear dog (though the Karelian Bear Dog almost looks like a Border Collie, I'm not sure I'd trust them around sheep or cattle. There are certain inane tendencies in certain breeds, but raised with understanding owners, you can end up with sweet Pit Bull Terrier or an anxiety-snappy Chihuahua in a kind, loving family. We've had both Border Collies and a Manchester Chihuahua and the Border Collies were both kind and smart; our Tiny could be snippy at times, but mostly she was very sweet-even with my friends. My BC alerted me to my high and low Glucose levels. Her son, Maxwell Smart(no kidding) hecame a service dog to a young girl with CP and Epilepsy. I'd ger another BC-perhaps a retired-female who just wants to live out her final days with the love and devotion I gave my BCs when they were alive and now I'm a sr. too. I even had an Aussie/BC mix once and her name was Gem (the Empath).

It’s not the breed it’s how the animal is raised and treated by the owner. The breed has nothing to do with it. I have had half a dozen German shepherds in my life and I’ve been around plenty of Pitbulls that were all super kind and gentle.

Yes I can say that our neighbours dog which came from the chow chow breed was vicious towards other dogs.

anyone who owns (owned) an intact newfie male, will know this diatribe is absolute rubbish! my boy does nothing for anyone but himself, couldn't care less about children, either wants to 'sniff' the females, play with neutered males or fight intact males. he's the most hard headed, infuriating slobbery mess i've ever known or seen, but i love him dearly. he is truly awesome!

And what about fantastic Jack Russell, mine are going on 19 years old this coming January, so extraordinary and living like 5 year olds. But truthfully What you give any breed of dog, you get back unconditional love and respect. Once you get a dog, you must give them your heart 😅 and then the bond is made for life. Unfortunately we lost a rescue Jack Russell, Tommie at only 6 years in Spain last year and have replaced him with 2 Pembroke CORGIES, two boys, Fox and Duchie, absolutely stunning, one is golden white, other tricolour, But the Jack's keep them in place, no messing around. 😊😊😊😊 Love from Losalcazares, Murcia, Espana where I live 8 months of the to avoid the worst weather weather back home in Dalkey, County Dublin, Ireland. I’m a firm believer any dog can be made to be mean. And every dog can gentle and kind. And I think judging gentless and kindness is extremely personal.

I love all dogs. I currently have a chihuahua. She is loving and loyal. Many have said chihuahua’s are a 1 person dog. Not mine, she loves each person in my family for different reasons. She makes a friend wherever she goes. 🤫she doesn’t know she’s a dog; she truly believes she’s a Princess.
