In my experience, as a ps5 pro owner yes it is worth it in pure hardware itself. I would only recommend for enthusiasts who care about specs. For a normal person a regular ps5 will do.

The PS5 PRO is basically a console for 4K 60fps ultra settings & Raytracing! I am gaming on the Samsung 77 S90D. Believe me graphics & performance make a huge difference!

I want the disc drive. Which are hard to get in Australia. I went for the slim with drive on sale. The pro didn't even go on black Friday sale here so still $1199.00 no thanks. The 5 slim will be a nice jump from my PS3

It's like when ps5 came the first time, the first 2 years it was impossible to get one, last year was the first time i saw one in a store here in Sweden, bought my ps5 16 month ago, the new pro preorders sold out in a couple of hours, can't pre order anywhere.

I had a Pro in my cart through Sony when orders went live but at the last second opted to get one through Best Buy so it is also covered under my Total Tech Membership, and I did that on Thursday along with the add on disc drive. A lot of people are doubting the sales of the Pro. These are the same people that said the Portal was going to bomb and a year later it is still selling like crazy. If you want to gauge the sales of the PS5 Pro, consider when the Pro first became available on Sony Direct, the add on disc drive shot up to number 5 on Amazon and stayed in the top 10 for almost a week. And that is only accounting for the people that wanted to use physical media. Reasoning says that more than that number are going digital only. The stand was not an issue for people such as myself as I have always placed my consoles horizontally. PSSR is only in its infancy and is already better than FSR. One of the major benefits which I am looking forward to is for PSVR2. This fall we have had and will be getting a plethora of new titles including Arizona Sunshine Remake, Metro Awakening, and Behemoth.

@@GameHistoryX If we examine industry reporting on sales, we see that on the average digital sales have easily surpassed physical. Look at 2022. New Zoo reported that 72% of games sales for the year were digital vs 28% for physical boxed and that number has only shifted further in the favor of digital. This time last year Push Square reported that Physical only accounted for 4% of sales for PlayStation the previous quarter.
