Thanks for history. Many conversations with friends who don’t remember this genre or realize that they’re listening to a new beat jam. While I haven’t kept up with the ever evolving sounds , my guess is that New Beat is now Dark Wave. Thanks again👍

Growing up within the proverbial stone's throw of Nashville, and retching at pop, big hair whatever, and country, it is wonderful to find my favorite music and a video! I discovered the best alternative music while in Richmond, VA. The only US music worth listening to then was the B-52's, and REM.

What other track sounds like this where the instruments sound like they are competing with Morrissey for attention?

I went to Fandago in Detroit. I enjoyed watching this for my memories of music and fun. Then I started checking out the chicks. Narrowed it down to one. The blonde at 6:47. She was my type then...and now.

The 80s, we were the revolutionaries. As children of the Berlin Wall (west-side), we especially knew how to party. Everyday life was serious enough. Dressing and styling ourselves differently was our way of breaking out. And we had a lot of fun doing it.

Такими же были и немцы, живущие на востоке Германии в совковой оккупации. Единственное, что на них хотя бы шмотки получше, за которыми в совке того времени стояли в часовых очередях или бегали за барыгами. Err, not quite. Jimmy sells art for thousands a piece & does minature model exhibitions that travel around the country. Bill does paid speeches amongst other music projects & they both still work together on the peoples pyramid project. Beside the fact that their music is available on ALL streaming sites and still sells like crazy. Yeah, they're mugs, eh.

People used to be way more cooler back then. I love the dance they do with there hands swinging left to right and repeat. Its almost like the Carlton dance.. dancing to 110-119bpm. I rather listen to 80s new wave at 120bpm and under then 2025 edm/house at 130+bpm

Turn 64 in jan 22/ 25...The thing to remember is memories :) and these classic songs remind us of the good times when life was great! we lived that experience :) I don't feel like puttin slippers on and smokin a fu*kin pipe! ...I like to get out mountain bikin and keepin fit! listenin to music I love...even though my six pack is slowly turnin into a keg :) :) to all you people out there stay active... wotever you do just keep active! :)
