I was thinking of summoning a spectre but i realised i needed to master parry or i wouldn't be able to improve. The best decision ever, enjoying the fight and specially the soundtrack. Amazing game with nothing to envy to the souls saga.

I beat every boss in the game solo. This guy isn’t even hard compared to late game bosses. Amazing boss though

Im level 58 and realised i fucked up the stats with my dex build only having 21 points right now :/ having so much trouble fighting the archbishop. Does throwables work well on this boss? Afraid to try cos if i die i have to farm it all again. :/

Throwables we’re op pre patch! Even post patch is still decent but where’s the fun in it :)

what kind of amulets/puppet parts do you have equipped? noticed the boss is doing like barely any damage to you!

None. The weapon absorbs about 75% of the damage & I’m leveled up enough to deal those damages back upon successful attacks/parry :)

When you dont get a perfect block but still block, the health u lose during the block can be gained back by either getting a perfect block or hitting the boss @@jacfruit3843

When you get hit while blocking you have the chance to regain the health back if you can attack without getting hit again/ if you successfully parry an attack. It’s like bloodborne game mechanics where you’re rewarded for playing agro.

@@xxroguexx564 But when I try that I slowly lose health nonetheless. Yeah, I regain some but I can never go back to full life. Thats what I was curious about because it seems like you have more healing than you should so I thought you have a item or something. :/ Thank you for your response tho.

@@xxroguexx564I tried killing it the same way you did for a fair amount of time before I thought to myself that there has to be a way to get rid of that toxic water so I just left him and continued until I found a button or switch that drained all the water and then I was able to kill him so much quicker, if you do new game plays that how you beat him with alot more ease👍😊

It can be unforgiven but games like this are meant to be this engaging to enjoy imo. Also if you master parrying in this game then any other game with forgiving parries will feel too easy & cheesed.

What an amazing boss design, am definitely considering getting thus game now. Though its very derivative of Laurence the First Vicar (title and lore) and Ludwig (attacks and special attacks), it still looks awesome

I beat him yesterday as well. The boss fight is too long imo. 6-7 minutes is a slog if a fight and run backs to boot.

It is but when you lose composure you began to make mistakes! Souls game are like that lol slowly but surely (Dont look at the boss health at all 😂)

Rolls with zero invincibility frames :) I like the game having no rolls though...something to get away to when you get annoyed of rolling in Souls Games...

Took me a few tries but THIS IS THE WAY. Learning to parry him was so satisfying, getting those fatal attacks. I was able to take him down in 3:11 though. Used the Wintry Rapier handle + Greatsword. You had both the flamberge and glame grinder equipped, I'm curious why you didn't use it as it MELTS through this boss.

I’d probably do a new run with just the rapier cause the parries are satisfying. Also great question! I could & it might have made fighting the boss easier, but since I’ve gotten used to his attacks I thought I make it a fair fight lol plus if I could do it without those then I can solo any future boss 😅

It's soo hard for me I can perfect black his attacks if I'm not attacking but can't attack and then block like in sekiro there is a delay and I keep dying,i get close and mess up :( i give up

I love the parry in this game for me it's the only way to play, learning the bosses attack patterns and then getting perfect parry's is so rewarding. Great job buddy.

I can't seem to get the timing right I'm either just off or get hit. I've been going pretty good until this boss.

Unfortunately the game difficulty ramps up after here. I would suggest remapping parry button to one your finger can get to quickly and focus on parrying one move once you get the timing then move to the next (I learned the timing of the tongue whips first then I moved to the legs/hands). Also you don’t have to parry every move imo one block with a successful parry should get your health back. Hope this helps & you got this!

@@xxroguexx564 I just beat him I had 80 moon fragments when I beat him I had 1 left. It just felt really unfair to me almost like no matter what I did I would die. The other bosses so far have me little trouble. 😂 I guess I need to get good.

Really I've heard the parry movie is one of the main criticisms of lies of p saying that parring in lies of p isn't as good as parring in sekrio

Man u kinda got lucky, in my playthrough during the 2nd phase I would get at least 2 times the blue ray and the dash attacks, took me almost 2days to beat him. Found out during the blue ray u gotta go under him then quickly get out before he falls. The dash attacks u can either dodge or Block but the last one is a red attack and u gotta parry this one

@gregorymasters5805 You’ll probably run out of Star fragment soon cause I did or can’t side step like other videos. I recommend practicing with the boss solo till you get the attack pattern down. It’s actually less difficult once you get the hang of it.

@@gregorymasters5805the bosses get harder. You’re better off going at it solo. Get the movesets down and then summon. Personally I never summon for any game. It kills the satisfaction imo. It’s 2v1 and imbalanced. That’s just me.
