Hey Elijah, my friends and I met you on the north jetty awhile back. Do you ever fish the ocean side on north jetty?

Yes, when conditions allow. I move up and down both sides. The same goes for the south jetty, I fish both sides. There are fish everywhere, you just need to keep moving until you find them. I have caught some big ones on the ocean side, but as you know, it can get hairy over there. Fish on!

Umpqua was fun floating a stretch in my kayak. Takes team of two when fishing there. Caught 60+ that weekend. Avoided rapids in the Hobie. I’d like to hit it again and slam those smallies.

Salmon spawn there my dad hooked a bug chinook and he had to give the rod to me so i could chase it down the river got hung up on a rock sadly and lost it still quite the experience though

In the Pacific Northwest lakes, whitefish are better than trout in cold water higher elevations.. Just fillet them and smoke them and you can find the bones. I heard than pressure cooking them also gets rid of the bones!!
